As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following Josie Gibson’s journey, and she recently shared with the Daily Mail at the Pride of Britain Awards why she’s taking a step back from her role on This Morning. After six wonderful years with the show, she felt it was time to reassess things, and she opened up about her decision there.
The television presenter, age 40, has been a regular on the daytime show since 2019 and recently shared that they’ve been facing some challenges in their career.
Josie is a familiar face on This Morning, usually filling in during the summer. However, viewers have noticed she hasn’t been on the show as often this year.
The TV personality recently shared with the Daily Mail that she’s currently working on a renovation show, which she says is quite stressful.
On the red carpet, she explained that while it might seem like she’s been away from This Morning, she’s actually been busy working on other projects.
I’ve been working on a home renovation show, and while I feel incredibly grateful and fortunate, it’s definitely been a challenging experience.

I’ve faced many challenges, but it’s about how you respond to them. I don’t always succeed right away, but I always recover and keep pushing forward.
Josie Gibson, known from Big Brother, is getting her own seven-part show on ITV called Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build. It’s scheduled to air next year.
Josie’s new show will also feature her family, including her brothers Josh and Charlie, who work with scrap metal, and her cousin Tom, who is a builder.
The television personality also mentioned she’s been working on a new ITV show called ‘A Taste of the Southwest,’ which will be released in November, and a few other projects as well.
She also mentioned that even though she’s pursuing other projects, she still feels a strong connection to her colleagues on This Morning, as they’ve all developed a close bond over time.
She described the group as being like a family, saying they’re incredibly supportive and have grown close through shared experiences. She really feels a sense of belonging and enjoys being around them.
Josie looked beautiful in a tight-fitting red dress as she posed for photos on the red carpet that evening.
I remember when she first became a household name! It was back in 2010 – she actually won Big Brother on Channel 4, specifically the eleventh season. That really launched her into the spotlight!

The star became a huge hit with fans and has gone on to have a very successful telly career.
She began appearing as a feature reporter on the ITV daytime program This Morning in 2019, and in 2021, she became one of the show’s hosts.
Josie has been a guest on several popular TV shows, including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Loose Women, The Jump, Cooking with the Stars, I’m A Celebrity, and The Masked Singer UK.
The presenter had previously mentioned taking a break from television to focus on spending more time with her son, Reggie.
She told The Mirror that she gets a lot of work during the summer because she fills in for others who are on vacation.
This year, I really made an effort to slow down and prioritize what matters most. I was lucky enough to spend a lot more quality time with my dog, Reggie, this summer than I usually get to, and it was wonderful.
