Has Taylor named the date? Swifties abuzz over claims she and Travis have made outrageous offer to steal their dream wedding site from another happy couple

There is much excitement about where and when Taylor Swift will get married.

Online rumors suggest a couple planning their wedding at a private Rhode Island venue has been asked to reschedule by an unknown person or group.

To top it all off, a mysterious person is offering to pay for a couple’s entire wedding – potentially costing over $150,000 – and even their honeymoon to a dream location, as long as the wedding takes place on June 13, 2026, at a venue of their choosing.

The event will be held at The Breakers in Newport, a stunning 70-room mansion built in 1895. It was commissioned by Cornelius Vanderbilt II, who was one of the wealthiest people in America during that era.

The massive estate, jokingly called a ‘cottage,’ is valued at around $500 million. It’s located 40 miles from Taylor Swift’s vacation home, High Watch, in Westerly, which she purchased for $17 million and has eight bedrooms.

Some people believe Taylor Swift isn’t interested in buying The Breakers resort, but rather the nearby Ocean House Hotel, which is very close to her luxurious home.

Different people tell different stories.

Multiple sources have reached out to the Daily Mail claiming they know who the couple is that was paid to reschedule their wedding so Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could use The Breakers hotel.

However, no one has given a specific name. They usually just say it’s someone their daughter, friend, or cousin is acquainted with.

To add a touch of realism, the story’s date—the 13th—is significant to the singer, as it’s her lucky number. Born on December 13th, she’s frequently discussed her love of numbers.

‘I love numerology,’ Swift has confessed. ‘I love math stuff, I love dates.’

The couple revealed they were engaged on August 26th, just 13 days after Taylor appeared on Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast – a connection fans quickly pointed out.

Travis shared on the podcast how his jersey number, 87, adds up to 100 when combined with his partner’s number, 13. He playfully noted, ‘I’m 87 and she’s 13 – and that makes 100!’

Swift laughed, calling it ‘part of the numerology of why we’re dating’.

Okay, so, everyone thinks it’s weird, but 13 is *totally* Taylor’s number! It’s insane how often it shows up! Like, her very first album went gold in 13 weeks, which is a sign, right? And her first number one song? It had a 13-second intro! Seriously! And get this – whenever she wins an award, she’s *always* sitting in the 13th row! It’s not a coincidence, I swear. It’s like 13 isn’t just a number for her, it’s the key to everything – her music, her wins, even, I think, her whole love life! Lucky 13 is *definitely* her magic number, and it’s amazing to see it pop up everywhere!

The rumor about a wedding proposal isn’t limited to the Daily Mail. It’s also been widely discussed on platforms like Reddit and in podcasts such as After Work Drinks, which is hosted by journalists Grace O’Neill and Isabelle Truman.

On the podcast, Truman shared that they received a direct message from someone claiming a friend of a friend is getting married in Rhode Island on June 13, 2026. He wasn’t sure if this information was already public.

‘”The venue called her and said someone is willing to buy you out of your date.”‘

Truman continued, explaining that the woman refused to change her wedding date. Then, the couple offered to cover the entire cost of both her wedding and honeymoon if she would agree to the new date.

Oh my gosh, they actually said YES! Everyone’s buzzing that it *has* to be Taylor! June 13th… it’s the only Saturday the 13th all year, and it’s super close to her place in Rhode Island! You guys, thirteen is, like, *her* number, her signature thing! I’m practically hyperventilating, it *has* to be her!

Both The Breakers and The Ocean House would be grand enough to host the wedding of Taylor Swift, 35, and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, 36, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, after dating for over two years.

The Preservation Society of Newport County, which manages the Vanderbilt mansion, has stated definitively that Taylor Swift is not planning to get married at The Breakers, or any of their other properties, according to spokesperson Gary Ruff.

And the owners of the yellow-painted Ocean House were equally adamant.

Ocean House strives to make every wedding hosted at our resort a truly unforgettable experience for couples and their loved ones, according to a resort spokesperson.

Choosing Ocean House for your wedding means entering into a partnership between our team and your family. We view it as a mutual commitment to creating a special day.

Ocean House is not permitting anyone to purchase a wedding date from another couple who already has a wedding booked.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is expected to be a hugely popular event, and Rhode Island – where Swift owns a home – is currently the most likely location.

I’m a huge fan, and it’s well-known she throws an amazing July 4th party every year – everyone calls it Taymerica! Last August, I was so excited to see photos of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes chilling by her pool at the party. It was a fun glimpse into their friendship!

Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid were also in attendance, along with Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, who were spotted sharing a kiss.

Newport is known for its beautiful mansions, many of which are wedding venues, but The Breakers stands out as the most luxurious.

Renowned architect Richard Morris Hunt designed it in the Italian Renaissance style, drawing inspiration from ancient Rome.

Oh my gosh, the Great Hall is just… breathtaking! The ceilings soar to FIFTY FEET high! And the estate? It’s HUGE – thirteen acres of pure perfection. There are seventy rooms in total, can you believe it? Forty-eight of them are bedrooms – enough space for the whole family and everyone who works there! It’s a dream, honestly, a total dream!

This building took the place of an older cottage that had been completely destroyed by fire. Vanderbilt personally managed the construction, making sure it was fire-resistant and even had the heating system installed beneath the front lawn.

However, the beloved grandson of shipping magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt didn’t enjoy his summer house for long. He passed away from a stroke only four years after its completion.

The house is enormous, boasting 27 fireplaces, a billiard room, a music room, and numerous other luxurious spaces, all furnished with the world’s most exquisite materials.

Swift would have to foot a huge bill to rent The Breakers.

I’m a huge fan of historic homes, and Rosecliff is absolutely stunning! It’s a gorgeous mansion built in 1902, and the Preservation Society does an amazing job keeping it open to the public. You might even recognize it – it’s been used in films like *The Great Gatsby* and *Amistad*. If you’re thinking of having an event there, though, be prepared – renting it costs around $60,000.

A wedding at The Breakers is likely to cost even more than previously thought, potentially around $100,000, and that doesn’t include the cost of entertainment or food.

One online registry lists a wedding set to take place in Newport on June 13, 2026.

However, when the Daily Mail spoke to the groom, he claimed he and his future wife hadn’t received any financial help from Taylor Swift.

He confirmed they’d heard the rumor, explaining they’re actually getting married at a different location in Newport. He jokingly added that he’d prefer to keep the money himself!

‘If she called me up, I certainly would move our wedding.

‘But it’s not us,’ he added disappointedly.

Several sources have denied the rumor, including the popular Deuxmoi Instagram account, which stated it was definitely false.

The post claimed strict non-disclosure agreements were used. It alleged that Taylor makes restaurant staff sign NDAs.

‘Think this is an urban legend,’ it added.

I’m not sure where this all began. It’s possible someone is deliberately misleading us, or maybe her team is testing to see if information is getting out. Personally, I don’t believe it’s true.

Swift’s spokesman did not return an email requesting comment.
