Earlier this month, Playboi Carti was accused of simple assault in Utah, police say.
According to reports from TMZ, on October 2nd in Park City, limousine driver Carl Reynolds claimed a rapper attacked him and his girlfriend while he was driving them from the Waldorf Astoria to a rehearsal.
Reynolds explained to police that Carti and his girlfriend were arguing in the car, and he stepped in to try and resolve it.
Reynolds says that he and Carti’s girlfriend were hit during the incident, causing him to stop and move to a safer spot in Heber City.
Daily Mail has not yet received a response from Carti’s representatives for comment.
Reynolds also said Carti’s head of security became involved to separate the individuals.
According to Reynolds, an employee of ALC A Limousine Connection, another company driver saw the incident happen.
Wasatch County police investigated the incident and recorded Reynolds’ injuries. They have confirmed an investigation is underway.
Reynolds is reportedly getting a lawyer and is focused on stopping any more damage from happening.
Daily Mail has not yet received a response from Carti’s representatives for comment.
