Lori Loughlin’s friends say she split from husband Mossimo Giannulli after finding ‘incriminating’ messages

A new report claims Lori Loughlin and her husband of 27 years have split up after she found damaging text messages and emails.

According to a friend, Lori Loughlin ended her marriage with Mossimo Giannulli after discovering messages on his phone, Page Six reported.

‘Truly, the tipping point came when Lori found a bunch of text messages,’ the friend claimed.

The Daily Mail has contacted Lori Loughlin’s spokesperson for a statement, but they haven’t heard back yet.

These new details emerged only two weeks after 62-year-old Giannulli was seen shopping in Beverly Hills with stylist Hannah Harrison, 32, who has stated they are not romantically involved.

I’ve known about Mossimo and Lori for a long time, and a friend of mine told me he’d really taken advantage of her for years. She actually held onto hope that prison might change him, that he’d come out a better person, but sadly, he just became even more difficult.

Loughlin now reportedly ‘wants to have nothing to do with’ her estranged husband.

‘She wants to get her life back,’ Loughlin’s friend said of the convicted felon.

This report comes after photos surfaced of Giannulli with a stylist, following the announcement of his separation.

Hannah Harrison later explained to Us Weekly that her relationship with Giannulli was purely friendly. She said photos of them together were just a coincidence – she was shopping at his clothing store in Beverly Hills and didn’t realize he had recently separated from his wife.

She explained that he was showing me around so I could select clothing for Giannulli’s brand.

Harrison also pointed out that she and Giannulli each drove to the store on their own, and that’s where the photographers saw them.

She clarified that they weren’t together as a couple and weren’t dating, just good friends. She explained he was simply meeting her at the store.

Just before Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli separated, she was seen getting support from actor James Tupper – who was previously in a relationship with the late Anne Heche – outside a private club in West Hollywood.

The actors previously appeared together in the Great American Family films *Fall Into Winter* (2023) and *Blessings of Christmas* (2024).

Lori Loughlin is currently staying at her family’s house in Hidden Hills, California, according to Page Six.

It was reported in February that Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were selling their mansion for $16.5 million. They originally purchased the property in 2020 for $9.5 million.

However, the asking price has since been lowered to a reported $14.95 million.

According to sources, Giannulli was splitting his time between Orange County, near Los Angeles, and a family home in Idaho.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, known for their involvement in the college admissions scandal and subsequent prison sentences, have two daughters: Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade Giannulli, 26.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve always admired entrepreneurs who build something from the ground up. Take Giannulli, for example. Back in 1986, she launched Mossimo right in Newport Beach, California. It quickly became a go-to brand for stylish, accessible clothing – a real testament to her design vision!

In his first year of business, he earned $1 million, and his revenue jumped to $4 million the next year.

In 1991, Mossimo added sweatshirts, knitted items, and sweaters to their product line. By 1995, they had expanded even further to include clothing for both women and men’s suits.

After operating for eight years, Mossimo, Inc. became a successful sportswear company worth millions of dollars and offered shares to the public in 1996.

In 2000, Mossimo, Inc. partnered with Target in a large deal worth $27.8 million to sell a variety of products, quickly making the brand well-known. Later, in 2006, the Iconix Brand Group bought Mossimo.

In 2019, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to Rick Singer to get their daughters recruited to the University of Southern California’s rowing team. Neither of their daughters actually rowed, and they had no prior experience with the sport.

In May 2020, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli admitted guilt related to charges of conspiring to commit bribery in the college admissions scandal.

Lori Loughlin, known for her roles in Full House and the show’s revival on Netflix, was sentenced to two months in prison, plus a $150,000 fine and 150 hours of community service.

Lori Loughlin, known for her role as Aunt Becky on Full House, started serving her prison sentence in Dublin, California, in October 2020 and was released the following December.

I still can’t believe it, but Mossimo Giannulli only got five months! Five months and a $250,000 fine, plus he has to do 250 hours of community service. It just doesn’t seem fair, honestly. I’ve been following this case so closely, and it feels like such a light punishment for everything!

Mossimo Giannulli started serving his prison sentence in November 2020. He was allowed to finish his sentence at home in April 2021, just a month before it was scheduled to end.

The celebrity couple was caught up in Operation Varsity Blues, a large scandal where 33 parents were accused of wrongdoing.

Felicity Huffman, an Emmy-winning actress, was also a key figure in the case. In 2019, she served 11 days in jail as part of an agreement she made with prosecutors.

Professionally, Loughlin’s legal troubles kept her sidelined from Fuller House’s fifth season.

She made her comeback to television in late 2021 with a two-part Christmas episode of the show When Hope Calls.

In June 2022, following a recent scandal, she made her first public appearance at the DesignCare 2022 Gala held at RJ’s Place, an event supporting the HollyRod Foundation.

In the sixth episode of its twelfth season, the show featured a scene mirroring the legal trouble experienced by Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm, referencing the incident involving Loughlin in 2024.

Loughlin portrayed a character based on herself, asking David for assistance in getting back into a prestigious golf club after being expelled due to a scandal.

David begins to regret his decision after Loughlin, a passionate golfer, starts playing aggressively and unfairly after he helps her regain access to the club.

I was so thrilled to hear that Lori agreed to participate! Jeff Schaffer, one of the executive producers, shared that they reached out to her manager first, and thankfully, they were immediately enthusiastic. They then spoke with Lori, and she was completely on board – she said yes right away, and I couldn’t have been happier!

She was fantastic! She was up for anything we asked of her and really made the episode shine. I’m so happy she agreed to participate.

As someone who’s seen a lot of transformations, both in my own life and in the lives of others, I recently shared with *First for Women* magazine how I navigated the aftermath of a really challenging period. Back in April 2024, I opened up about dealing with everything that happened and how I moved forward.

Loughlin shared that she makes an effort to be forgiving and doesn’t like to dwell on past issues. She believes everyone experiences difficulties and prefers to move forward.

It’s something everyone experiences – needing to ask for forgiveness. But truly understanding how to ask for it means also learning to forgive others. I was lucky to grow up in a family that didn’t hold onto anger, and mistakes weren’t held against you – forgiveness was always offered.
