Ace Frehley was hopeful about life just months before he died on Thursday at age 74.
Ace Frehley, the original guitarist for KISS, recently told The Aquarian in an interview that a psychic predicted he’ll have a long life.
Ironically, Ace told the publication he had ‘good genes’ and ‘longevity’ in his family.
The musician shared that they feel fortunate to have inherited good genes, noting that both their parents lived long lives – their father to 96 and their mother to 86 – and their maternal aunt even reached the age of 99. They emphasized that longevity runs strong on both sides of their family.
I recently talked to a psychic, and she told me I’d live to be a hundred years old. I replied that sounded great!
He shared his excitement about performing again after recently recovering from a serious arm injury.

‘I hurt my arm about two-and-a-half years ago — I fell down a flight of stairs,’ he shared.
He explained that it had been difficult recovering because he landed on his right arm – the one he uses to play guitar. He was thrilled to be back on stage, as he wasn’t sure if he’d ever be able to play like he used to.
The interview took place in New York, ahead of a KISS performance.
Ace talked about how he’ll be remembered, saying he believes his work will be valued for centuries because he excels at what he does and is respected by others in his field.
When KISS rose to prominence in the 1970s, they stood out with their theatrical stage presence.
They stood out from other rock bands of the time thanks to their dramatic makeup and flamboyant stage presence.
Each member of the band developed a unique stage persona: Gene Simmons became known as The Demon, Paul Stanley as Starchild, Ace Frehley as Spaceman, and Peter Criss as Catman.
Gene remembers that when the band was starting out in New York, there was a vibrant ‘glitter’ scene where performers, typically men, embraced androgynous looks with makeup and flamboyant styles, as he shared in a 1996 interview with Porkchops & Applesauce, according to Far Out.
He explained that they were all very tall—over six feet—and it just didn’t feel believable.

In 2014, the band achieved a major honor: they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Paul Frehley, known as Ace Frehley, was a founding member of the band KISS in 1973, but he left in 1982. Afterward, he started another band called Frehley’s Comet and released two albums with them.
The celebrated guitarist passed away in Morristown, New Jersey, after a severe brain hemorrhage led to him being placed on life support.
After being hospitalized and needing a ventilator to breathe, he died when his family decided to remove life support, according to TMZ.
According to reports, the musician fell and hit his head in his home studio several weeks ago, which led to a medical emergency.
