Denise Richards’ ex Aaron Phypers is ARRESTED outside court for ‘spousal abuse’ after tense hearing over restraining order

Aaron Phypers, the ex-partner of Denise Richards, was arrested on Friday outside of court. The arrest was related to accusations of domestic violence, and it happened while the two are going through a divorce.

The 54-year-old television personality and her soon-to-be ex-husband both attended a court hearing in Los Angeles, where her husband was taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A lawyer for Richards confirmed to Us Weekly that her ex was arrested for ‘spousal abuse.’

According to an eyewitness, Phypers was arrested right outside the courthouse and escorted away on a nearby escalator. He never returned to the hallway.

Richards was present at the courthouse and appeared calm while speaking with her colleagues.

Another witness said Phypers seemed confused by his arrest and didn’t realize he was going to be taken into custody by the police.

The Daily Mail contacted Phypers’ spokesperson for a statement, but they haven’t responded yet.

Both members of the separated couple were present in court on Friday, and Richards gave their final statement after a lunch break.

According to one person who saw what happened, eight police officers were standing outside the courtroom at that moment.

The hearing as well as Richards’ temporary restraining order have been extended to November 7.
