Sarah Paulson breaks down in tears and can barely hold it together when asked about Diane Keaton on red carpet

Sarah Paulson became tearful on Thursday night while remembering her friend Diane Keaton at the premiere of ‘All’s Fair’.

Fifty-year-old actress Sarah Paulson attended the Los Angeles premiere of Hulu’s new legal drama with her co-stars, including Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Teyana Taylor, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Naomi Watts.

But amid the star-studded celebration, Paulson’s heart was elsewhere.

The actress is still mourning the unexpected loss of Keaton, who died on Saturday at the age of 79. His family announced that he passed away from pneumonia.

Paulson and Keaton first worked together on the 1999 film *The Other Sister*, and when asked about the impact of the recently deceased actress, Paulson became visibly emotional.

After repeatedly telling reporters she felt deeply saddened, Paulson’s calm demeanor finally broke down in a subsequent interview.

Oh my god, it just *destroyed* me when I saw her talking about it on Access. She was clearly fighting back tears, and honestly, same. She said, and I’m still getting choked up just thinking about it, that this person was a really close friend, and she just… she couldn’t even talk about it yet. It was so heartbreaking, you could just *feel* her pain. I mean, it’s just… devastating.

She added that the person was even more impressive as a person than they were as a performer.

‘And I was the luckiest person in the world to have had her in my life the way that I did.’

Quickly glancing down at the floor, Paulson hugged the interviewer and then hurriedly walked away.

The interview happened after Paulson was spotted looking upset near Keaton’s home on Saturday, shortly after hearing the unfortunate news.

The celebrity seemed very upset during the visit and was seen hugging someone outside.

After leaving Keaton’s house, she got into a black car and drove away.

Paulson and Keaton were close friends and frequently enjoyed each other’s company.

In July 2021, Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor had dinner with Diane Keaton in Beverly Hills. Later that year, the three were seen together again, enjoying a casual outing at Il Piccolino restaurant in West Hollywood.

Keaton previously chatted with Interview magazine, where she answered fun questions posed by her friends, including Paulson.

Paulson playfully asked, ‘What brings you the most joy – a person, place, or thing? (Feel free to say it’s me!)’

The actress responded to Sarah, saying she was delighted and that both Sarah and her friends brought her joy.

Just hours after Al Pacino, a former partner of Diane Keaton, publicly shared his grief over her passing, Henry Paulson attended the premiere of “All’s Fair.”

Al Pacino and Diane Keaton had a long, sometimes turbulent relationship that lasted from 1974 to 1990. After learning of her death, Pacino, who was filming in Paris at the time, took a few days to grieve before publicly sharing a heartfelt tribute, as reported by Deadline.

He shared a message on Thursday night saying he was very saddened to hear about Diane Keaton’s death.

He went on to say that he was deeply shocked when he learned the news. Diane wasn’t just a colleague; she was a close friend who brought joy to his life and had helped shape his path on several occasions.

Even though it’s been over thirty years since we last saw each other, I still remember her so clearly. Her recent passing has brought those memories back with a powerful mix of sadness and warmth.

Pacino also complimented Keaton’s vibrant personality, noting how she lived life to the fullest and brought a unique energy to everything she did.

He also praised her captivating presence on screen, describing her as powerfully attractive – a blend of energy, charisma, intensity, and gentleness. He considered her truly remarkable.

The actress explained that while acting was her primary artistic outlet, it wasn’t the only way she channeled her creativity and imagination.

Pacino concluded his heartfelt tribute with a powerful message: people will not only mourn her loss, but cherish her memory. She had a lasting impact and was incredibly strong, determined, and, most importantly, genuinely human.

‘I will always remember her. She could fly — and in my heart, she always will.’

The sweet message comes after Pacino was seen for the first time since the heartbreaking death.

He was seen looking downcast arriving at LAX airport with his former girlfriend, Noor Alfallah, on Monday.

According to a friend of Al Pacino, he deeply regrets not remaining with Diane Keaton. The friend told the Daily Mail that Pacino often expressed a hope for reconciliation after their split, saying it would ‘never be too late for a do-over.’ However, the friend added that it now seems that opportunity has passed.

Keaton once reflected on their relationship herself, admitting Pacino was the one who got away.

It was a tough day for me on Monday. I was heading to a private jet with Noor, the mother of my son Roman, who was born in 2023. It was my first time out and about since losing someone incredibly special – someone a lot of people thought was my soulmate, and honestly, she was. It was a visibly difficult moment for me.

Both individuals were wearing simple black outfits, likely mirroring the serious atmosphere of the day.

Al Pacino and Diane Keaton continued their romantic relationship even after the 1990 release of *The Godfather Part III*. Keaton has since shared that Pacino was the great love of her life, though they ultimately didn’t stay together.

Honestly, when it came to a proposal, I never really pictured a big moment. I’ve always said I just assumed we’d get married someday, and I actually hoped he’d skip the proposal altogether! I just wanted us to decide together that it was time, you know? No grand gesture needed, just a natural progression into ‘us’ being married.

Thankfully, that didn’t happen, and it’s probably for the best for both of us. It would have been a terrible experience for him.

We’re both a bit unusual, and he needed someone to look after him, just as I needed a partner to care for me.

‘It was just very important that we left each other alone, said goodbye. But it wasn’t my choice.’

Al Pacino and Marlon Brando received critical praise for their performances as Michael Corleone and Vito Corleone, respectively, in The Godfather films.

Both refused to get married, and Pacino later said he wished he hadn’t ended things with his co-star, whom he considered his on-screen wife.

According to a friend, Al now realizes his true love was Diane, whom he’s always described as an incredible woman, in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.

He’ll always wonder what if he’d acted when he still had the opportunity. After his breakup with Diane, Al often said it wasn’t too late to try again if they were meant to be. Unfortunately, that time has now passed.

Despite having several romantic relationships, Al Pacino has always prioritized his four children above all else, according to a source.

According to a source, Al loves all of his children very much. Even though he preferred living in New York, he bought a house in Los Angeles to be closer to the kids who lived on the West Coast and spend more time with them.

Despite living in the same area of Beverly Hills, just a few miles apart, for many years, he and Diane never exchanged a word.

I once asked him the reason for his silence, and he explained that we’d already said everything that needed to be said, so further conversation wasn’t necessary.

Although the cause of death hasn’t been revealed, Keaton, a frequent presence in Los Angeles, hadn’t been seen at the location for several months.

One neighbor told the Daily Mail he would regularly see her walking her dog Emma.

“It’s been months since I last saw her,” the neighbor remarked. “I’m starting to think she might have been sick for some time now.”

The late actress also used to say marriage was never something high on her bucket list.

‘Diane’s parents were together, but her father was always away on business,’ said another source.

Honestly, it felt like he was a ghost – completely absent from the real picture. My heart belonged to my mom, who single-handedly ran our house and raised all four of us. I always looked up to her; she was just incredibly strong and fiercely independent, and I adored her for it.

She had a close, twenty-year connection with Woody Allen, though it differed from her relationship with Al Pacino.

According to a source, Al had a vulnerable quality that made her feel protective of him, like he was someone who needed care. She also believed he wouldn’t try to control her, as he seemed to rely on her strength.

You know, I’ve seen this happen a lot with couples. Diane and Al definitely had a future together in their minds – marriage, a family, the whole nine yards. But after years of a relationship that kind of ebbed and flowed, she started to feel like if they were going to commit, now was the time. It was a ‘make it happen’ or ‘move on’ moment, and she needed clarity.

‘And she eventually told him: “Marry me or else!”‘

To her astonishment, he simply walked away, firmly stating that no one would pressure him into acting before he was ready. He kept his word and continued on with his life.
