Spice Girl Mel C, 51, flaunts her chiselled abs and biceps as she flexes her muscles in a clip to announce her latest song release Sweat

Melanie C showed off her toned physique, including her strong abs and arms, in a video she posted to Instagram on Friday.

The Spice Girl, 51, appeared in incredible shape as she announced her latest song release, Sweat.

In the video, Mel showed off a red and grey workout outfit from Bondi Active, including the £54 Flutter shorts and a £42 scoop neck bra, while striking different poses.

The songstress will release her ninth studio album, Sweat, on 1st May 2026 via Virgin Music Group.

The singer dropped the title track of her new album on Friday and is scheduled to perform a special concert at O2 Academy Brixton on October 23, 2026.

Mel will be doing a live question-and-answer session on Instagram later today, before the music video for her new song is released at 4pm.

The new project is coming out after she shared that the Spice Girls have different WhatsApp groups, hinting at ongoing disagreements between them.

The Spice Girls – Victoria Beckham, Gerri Halliwell-Horner, Melanie Brown, and Emma Bunton – originally got together in 1994 and disbanded in 2000.

Mel recently met up with Emma Bunton, also known as Baby Spice, on Heart Radio. Emma was filling in for Amanda Holden and co-hosting the show with Jamie Theakston when they had a chance to reconnect.

Jamie, age 54, inquired about a WhatsApp group, and the singer responded that multiple groups exist, including one he isn’t a member of.

Even as Emma tried to stop the conversation in other chats, Sporty Spice quickly responded with a firm ‘Yes, absolutely!’

The pair then said live on air that they are not in groups where either of them aren’t included.

Mel C pointed out to her that she’s the only Spice Girl not included in the group chat for the Spice Girls, and probably the only person ever in that situation.

She added: ‘Because obviously there’s ones without the others now, I’ve let that slip.’

This news follows well-known disagreements among the five members of the Spice Girls, which began when the group first came together.

Last week, Victoria, 51, shared in her Netflix documentary that Mel B, 50, upset her by reminding her, ‘don’t forget where you’ve come from’.

The Daily Mail reported that Geri Halliwell, 53, cancelled plans for a new Spice Girls tour because she grew tired of subtle criticisms from Mel B and couldn’t face performing alongside her anymore.

After Geri Halliwell left the Spice Girls during their 1998 world tour, Mel C publicly criticized her, calling her ‘untalented’ in an interview.

She said this while on the TV show CD: UK in 2003, responding to a question from host Cat Deeley about Geri’s comments on other pop singers.
