Chris Hemsworth recently shared a preview of his new National Geographic documentary, and viewers are particularly excited about one specific thing.
Chris Hemsworth, 42, posted the trailer for his new film, A Road Trip to Remember, on Instagram Friday. The movie follows Chris and his father, Craig, as they revisit places from their shared history.
Chris reveals in the trailer that their father, Craig, is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. To help him cope with memory loss, they’re taking a road trip across Australia, hoping that revisiting familiar places will spark his memories.
The short video showed a father and son riding motorcycles, revisiting their childhood home, and enjoying quality time together outdoors.
The trailer also featured some old photos of the pair.
‘This is a photo of me and my dad and…’ Chris began before breaking off, overcome by emotion.

‘I love this photo,’ he added.
The photo showed a baby Chris with his dad, who looked remarkably like him – both were shirtless and the dad had a full beard.
Fans flooded the comments section to point out the close resemblance.
‘My goodness your dad as a younger man. I thought that was you,’ one person wrote.
Another penned: ‘Is Liam and Chris’s face all in one Dad.’
‘OMG! You are your dad’s clone,’ one fan pointed out.
Another chimed in: ‘OMG, you are the image of your Dad when he was your age.’
This isn’t the first time Chris has opened up about his family’s history with Alzheimer’s.

In 2022, he shared that his grandfather had the disease, and his father was beginning to show early signs of it as well.
He further revealed that he is genetically predisposed to develop the disease.
While filming the National Geographic series *Limitless*, Chris learned he has a significantly higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s – estimated to be eight to ten times greater than average.
Almost immediately after the news broke, the actor distanced himself from Hollywood. Rumors quickly spread that he was either retiring or already suffering from the illness.
He told Vanity Fair that it really bothered him, explaining that he’d opened up about something personal and felt exposed when it was shared.
Despite my repeated assurances that my condition wasn’t life-threatening, reports surfaced claiming I had dementia, was reevaluating my life, and planned to retire.
