Shae Cornette, a familiar face on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” is joining Stephen A. Smith’s debate show, ESPN revealed on Thursday.

Cornette is among the guests who have been filling in as host since Molly Qerim took leave last month.

According to Stephen A. Smith, who also produces the show, hosting First Take is a challenging job that demands confidence, resilience, and a deep understanding of sports.
