A new, realistic Western drama is coming to Netflix, and it’s sure to appeal to fans of shows like *Yellowstone*. The series features well-known actors Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, and early reviews suggest it’s definitely worth checking out.

Coming this December, the film stars Lena Headey, known from *Game of Thrones*, and Emma Anderson, of *Sex Education* and *The Crown*, as two mothers involved in a violent and long-lasting conflict.

Chris Keyser, the executive producer, recently shared some hints about the upcoming series with *Tudum*, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
The first chapter of *The Abandons* tells a familiar American tale: a story of the frontier, two families caught between conflict and affection, and a struggle for land and control.
This story plunges into a world of murder, revenge, and forbidden love, prompting us to consider timeless questions: What truly defines a family? How do we maintain our integrity when surrounded by darkness? And how far would we go – what would we sacrifice – to protect those we cherish?

The Abandons will be released on Netflix on 4 December.
