The story follows several families staying in cabins, revealing their hidden struggles, personal problems, and brief, beautiful moments. Through flashbacks, we learn about significant events in their pasts and how those events might affect what happens during their vacation.

The series features a talented cast including Valene Kane, known for *Blue Lights*, Shirley Henderson from *Bridget Jones*, Arnas Fedaravičius of *The White Lotus*, Anna Próchniak who appeared in *Showtrial*, and Gabriel Scott from *House of the Dragon*, alongside Scott.

I’m so excited to see some familiar faces joining the cast! Shereen Cutkelvin from *Vigil*, Anders Hayward, James Harkness who was in *Lockerbie*, Daniel Rigby from *Black Mirror*, Shuana Macdonald of *Outlander*, and Jamie Sives from *Dept Q* are all on board, which is fantastic news!

This series adapts a novel by Sarah Moss. The script is by John Donnelly, known for his work on *Utopia*, and the episodes are directed by Robert McKillop (from *Ludwig*) and Fiona Walton (who worked on *Shetland*).

Production on the show *Summerwater* finished earlier this year in Scotland, and it will have six episodes.

Scott is gearing up for a packed few months. He’s landed a role in a new BBC drama titled *Crookhaven*, where he’ll portray the principal of a hidden school for criminals.

He’s also joining the cast of the new period crime drama, *Fairytale Detective*. He’ll play the famous author Hans Christian Andersen, who investigates crimes with characters from his own beloved stories.

Summerwater will premiere on Channel 4 in November.
