Better start stretching — there’s a lot of walking ahead this November!
Pokémon GO revealed earlier this month that the Wild Area Global event will take place November 15th and 16th. The event will also introduce the powerful Gigantamax Grimmsnarl to the game.
Wild Area Global 2025 is a two-day event similar in scope to other major Pokémon GO events this year, like Go Fest 2025: Global and Go Fest 2025: Max Finale. Attendees will have the opportunity to catch a powerful Dark/Fairy-type Gigantamax Pokémon, plus find rare Pokémon in the wild and participate in exclusive raids.
Besides being the largest and most powerful Fairy-type Pokémon, Gigantamax Grimmsnarl is likely to be a strong Fairy-type attacker in Max Battles, particularly effective against Psychic and Ghost types.

How to get Gigantamax Grimmsnarl in Pokémon GO
During the Wild Area Global 2025 event, you’ll have a chance to catch a Gigantamax Grimmsnarl by participating in Six-Star Max Battles. Keep an eye out for multiple Power Spots where you and other Pokémon GO players can battle and potentially catch this special Pokémon throughout the event.
Shiny Gigantamax Grimmsnarl looks amazing, and you can even find it during Max Battles! Be sure to participate in as many Max Battles as possible for a chance to encounter it.
What else to expect from Wild Area Global 2025
From November 15th to 16th, special bonuses will be available between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in your local time zone.
- The limit for Remote Raids will be lifted. You can join as many Remote Raids as you can!
- You can use a Charged TM on a Shadow Pokémon to replace its Charged Attack Frustration with a better move.
- Spinning Gym Photo Discs can reward you with three free Raid Passes instead of one.
- You can collect as many as 1,600 Max Particles per day.
- Taking three snapshots can trigger an event-exclusive Pokémon spawn.
- Following Routes can spawn more Pokémon and earn additional Candy for Buddy Pokémon.
Wild Area Global 2025 spawns
During this event, Pokémon will only appear during two special hours: Lurking Dark Hour and Fanciful Fairy Hour. The Lurking Dark Hour will primarily feature Dark-type Pokémon, and the Fanciful Fairy Hour will mostly have Fairy-type Pokémon.
The two special events will switch back and forth, beginning with the spooky ‘Lurking Dark Hour’ and then the whimsical ‘Fanciful Fairy Hour’.

Mighty Pokémon Spawns
Players can now find and catch shiny versions of Unown W (exclusively through Incense), Hatenna, and Impidimp – a first for Pokémon GO!
Similar to last year’s event, players will be able to find Mighty Pokémon – versions that are larger, stronger, and more challenging to catch than normal Pokémon.
When facing these powerful Pokémon, Safari Balls are your best bet, so use them whenever you have a chance.

Okay, so listen up, fellow trainers! This Sunday, keep your eyes peeled because Mighty Gardevoir and Garchomp could pop up near you! And the best part? Any of these Mighty Pokémon *could* be Shiny, so you absolutely need to battle them when you get the chance. Don’t let a Shiny slip away!
