Pete Wicks was liking pictures of his best pal Sam Thompson’s new girlfriend two years ago.

Joey Essex, 36, appeared to be admiring Talitha Balinska’s photos, liking several glamorous shots of her on social media back in October 2023. This was two years before she began dating Sam, the winner of ‘I’m A Celebrity’.

Sam, age 33, recently revealed his relationship with 24-year-old Talitha on Instagram with a cute video of them having a LEGO-themed date night.

His sister Louise Thompson even made an appearance, hinting Talitha has already met the family.

The video showed the podcaster with a wand, and Talitha wearing a hat resembling one from Harry Potter, both smiling at the end.

This model and DJ has gained a large following on social media, with over 511,000 TikTok followers and almost 200,000 on Instagram. She often posts pictures of her travels, nights out in London, and visits to upscale restaurants.

Pete reacted to several revealing photos Talitha posted online, including one of her wearing a denim corset and jeans that showed her cleavage, according to NeedToKnow.

She posed in the back of a luxury car and captioned the post: ‘Hop in.’

The blonde beauty had her hair slicked into a sleek high ponytail, looking effortlessly glam.

Talitha recently caught the eye of the former TOWIE star, who approved of her outfit: a cream jacket, a short white top, and dark, wide-leg jeans, finished with a tan Birkin bag.

She grinned for the camera outside Chelsea townhouses.

It’s not the first time the best mates have shown interest in the same woman.

Sam previously admitted he once flirted with someone who was already dating Pete.

Sam shared on his Staying Relevant podcast a memorable experience where he attempted to message a girl on social media, only to discover she was already seeing his friend, Pete, that weekend.

He then mimicked a frustrated scream, adding: ‘That’s how I feel inside.’

Pete replied: ‘My response was okay I’ll cancel it, you can go if you want.’

Their romance comes after Sam’s two-month fling with Love Islander Samie Elishi.

After celebrating Olivia Attwood’s birthday, Samie and another person were seen kissing outside a Mayfair club. Samie later confessed she’d had quite a bit of tequila before they left together in a taxi.

Sam’s former girlfriend, Zara McDermott, is now dating Louis Tomlinson from One Direction and they’ve recently started living together.

People say the new couple began dating about three months after Zara unexpectedly ended her relationship with Sam.

Pete has a history of interesting relationships and is reportedly dating Jowita Przystał, whom he partnered with on Strictly Come Dancing.

He has previously been linked to Maura Higgins and his former TOWIE co-star Chloe Sims.
