Vera Wang, 76, looks youthful as she goes make-up free and dons a plunging bright red lace gown at the DKMS Gala in New York

Vera Wang turned heads at the DKMS Gala in New York, appearing remarkably youthful in a vibrant red lace dress and going without makeup.

The 76-year-old fashion designer was among the celebrities at Tuesday’s DKMS Gala, held at Cipriani Wall Street and honoring Coco Rocha.

Vera turned heads at the event in a stunning red dress with a bold, low neckline.

Her sleeveless gown was completed with drooping lace ruffles, a ruched bodice and leg split.

Also in attendance was Harvey Weinstein’s ex-wife Georgina Chapman, 49, who is herself a designer.

Georgina stunned on the red carpet in a beautiful black lace dress. The one-shoulder gown had a fitted corset style and delicate floral details.

The English actress, currently dating Oscar winner Adrien Brody, completed her look with a satin clutch and open-toed heels.

Becky G, 28, looked stunning in a flowing, red and white floral gown made of ruched chiffon.

The singer wore a strapless dress with a delicate, heart-shaped neckline. The fabric faded from a rose pattern into a beautiful, flowing white train that spread across the floor.

Coco Rocha, the Canadian model honored at the event, also chose to wear red, appearing in a stunning one-shoulder gown with shimmering sequins and flowing tulle.

Coco wore a beautiful gown with layers of tulle and sparkling sequins, and a large, flowing mermaid-style skirt. She was accompanied on the red carpet by her three children.

At the event, designer Marc Jacobs walked the red carpet with the CEO of Coty Inc., a major beauty company.

Coco Jones chose a bold and beautiful burgundy dress for her appearance. The satin dress had a laced-up front, a fitted corset top, and a flowing, sheer chiffon skirt and train.

Vera celebrated her 76th birthday in June and looked remarkably youthful during the stylish event.

She posted pictures on Instagram from a dinner party she hosted at Le Relais Plaza in Paris, and looked stunning in a little black dress.

Vera celebrated her birthday with loved ones, enjoying a nice dinner before blowing out the candles on her cake. She jokingly mentioned in her post that it was a modest cake for a milestone birthday.

Vera shared photos of the gifts she received, including treats, Prada items for the home, caviar, and several flower arrangements.

The designer has always been open about how she feels about getting older, previously saying she thinks ageism is outdated and that it’s important to keep learning and evolving throughout life.

In a 2022 interview with BBC 100 Women, Vera said her ‘magic elixir’ for staying youthful is work.

She still leads the creative side of her fashion brand, which includes wedding dresses, everyday clothing, jewelry and accessories, perfumes, and items for the home.

Vera has been working in the fashion industry since the age of 18.

She became the youngest person ever to be a fashion editor at Vogue at just 23 years old. However, it took almost 20 more years before she finally started her own clothing line.

After turning 40, she launched her own business and said she felt incredibly fortunate to have created a successful company from the ground up.

Interestingly, her attitude towards beauty might be even more impactful than her work ethic – she doesn’t obsess over it.

Surprisingly, she credits her youthful appearance to a rather unusual diet: vodka, McDonald’s, and donuts!

She admitted to eating McDonald’s daily for about two weeks at a time before switching to something else, as she told Page Six last year.

The wedding dress designer also confessed to a sweet tooth, revealing she loves Dunkin’ Donuts’ cream-filled, sugar-coated doughnuts.

It’s similar to a jelly donut, except it’s filled with vanilla cream. I also enjoy the ones with pink frosting and sprinkles.

Apart from her nightly vodka cocktail, though, Wang said she only drinks water.

She gave up drinking Diet Coke in 2006, which she said was ‘the hardest thing I ever gave up’.
