Animal rights groups have nicknamed Katie Price ‘the Grim Reaper‘ due to a number of her pets tragically dying while under her care.
The 47-year-old former model is the focus of a stark new Halloween campaign by PETA, despite animal welfare organizations repeatedly asking that she not be allowed to own pets, and even after she recently adopted a puppy.
Katie has been condemned by organisations over the years for owning pets after a series of deaths.
It absolutely broke my heart to hear that one of Doris’s kittens didn’t make it last month. Poor little thing had trouble feeding, and despite everything she did, it just wasn’t enough. Sadly, this was the eighth animal she’s lost while providing care, and it’s just devastating to think about.
For Halloween, PETA is using a cartoon image of a person named Katie dressed as the Grim Reaper. The image shows her carrying a coffin filled with cats and dogs.
The Halloween costume is available for £34.99 and includes a Katie mask, a scythe, and a coffin filled with plush dogs and cats.

PETA shared a post on X criticizing Katie Price’s history with animals, calling it disturbing. To make their point, they created a Halloween costume depicting the ‘Grim Reaper of Pets’.
As a huge Katie supporter, I just had to share this amazing bundle! For only £34.99, you get a Katie mask, a cool scythe, and a coffin filled with adorable (but thankfully fake!) dogs and cats. What makes it even better is that every penny goes towards a fantastic cause – helping animals! The money supports responsible pet ownership programs and provides vital spay and neuter surgeries, which are so important in tackling the problem of homeless animals. It’s a win-win!

PETA’s UK and Europe Vice President, Mimi Bekhechi, states that a concerning number of animals have died while in the care of Katie Price.
This Halloween costume might be funny, but it highlights a serious point: caring for animals who depend on you is a big responsibility. If you can’t handle that responsibility, it’s best to just play with pretend pets.
A Change.org petition to prevent her from owning any more animals has gained over 37,800 signatures.
Katie bought her latest puppy at the end of September.
In a Snapchat video, she first focused on a filter, saying she was exhausted, and didn’t immediately mention the dog.
She also shared that her young son stays close to her and she’s excited for him to meet their horse, Rookie, as he’s already met all their other animals. She explained that he’ll be a companion for rides, walks, and all their outdoor activities.

A representative for Katie was contacted by Daily Mail for comment.
She then posted the caption: ‘First time using a filter in ages.’
Katie adopted a Cocker Spaniel named Rookie in February, and many people questioned whether she was taking on another pet.
Last October, she took in Doris and two more hairless cats, even though animal welfare groups had asked authorities to prevent her from having any pets.
She responded to criticism about her pet ownership, which arose after animal rights group PETA offered her £5,000 to give up her animals.
Katie, who recently welcomed her pet Rookie to the family, has always loved animals and has cared for many pets throughout her life.
People are questioning her animal care after several animals – including five dogs, a horse, and a chameleon – died while she was looking after them. Many of these deaths happened in traffic accidents close to her previous home in Sussex.
Katie believes a string of unfortunate events happened due to chance, and mostly when she wasn’t home. To protect her pets, she’s now made her new garden secure.
Katie previously explained to The Sun that when people question her ability to care for animals, it’s due to difficult situations beyond her control.
I truly care for animals and enjoy taking care of them. It’s definitely not that I don’t try – nurturing them is something I genuinely love to do.
In February 2024, PETA sent an open letter to Katie after news spread that she had rehomed her puppy, Tank, because she was no longer interested in caring for him.
They offered her £5,000 if she signed a contract to not acquire another animal.
