Kris Jenner shared that she and her plastic surgeon have a secret password, explaining she hopes to encourage others to feel comfortable considering cosmetic surgery.
The 69-year-old TV star recently explained why she decided to talk about getting a facelift again, during an interview on the ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast this Tuesday.
Kris Jenner revealed on a podcast that she created a special ‘code word’ with her plastic surgeon, Dr. Steven Levine, to help her friends and family easily schedule consultations with him.
This happened after Kim Kardashian recreated her mother Jenner’s style at Paris Fashion Week, reportedly inspired by Jenner’s recent $100,000 facial and neck lift.
She said it all started because she was thrilled with how her surgery turned out. She wanted to make sure her surgeon got the credit for his skill before anyone else claimed it.
She explained on the podcast that he disliked being the center of attention, and she found that endearing. She also recounted asking him, ‘Can I even tell people who you are?’
He said, “Look, here’s what we’ll do. Let’s create a password. If anyone calls requesting a consultation and claims to be a friend of Kris Jenner, they’ll need to know the password.”
Due to her success, she reported receiving calls – and Levine was too – from people falsely claiming to be her acquaintances, all hoping to get a consultation with her surgeon.
They’ve called so many times from his office, saying “Julie Monopoly is on the line and claims to be your close friend.”
I said I didn’t recognize the name, and it’s clear others have attempted to gain access as well, she explained.
She added: ‘So if you know me, you know what the password is.’
The momager of six also explained why she wanted to be candid with fans about getting a face lift.
She explained that speaking openly about her own surgeries is her way of encouraging others to feel comfortable with procedures they need, whether for medical reasons or to improve their self-esteem.
‘And don’t be afraid of it,’ she added. ‘And fear is not your friend.’
Just two months ago, the entrepreneur opened up about getting another facelift.
She revealed she had her first breast augmentation fifteen years ago, and shared that the same surgeon who operated on her also performed Kylie Jenner’s breast surgery.
In an August interview with Vogue Arabia, she explained she underwent another face and neck lift to revitalize her appearance.
‘Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself,’ she said at the time.
She added that if you’re happy with how you look and want to embrace the natural aging process without any interventions, that’s perfectly fine.
‘But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.’
