TEKKEN 8 updates to v2.06.01, starts Fight Pass 7

This update includes some changes to character hitboxes. Players can find cool new costumes in the game shop, and the seventh season of the Fight Pass begins around Halloween in TEKKEN 8.

The main highlight of this TEKKEN 8 update is the new character, Armor King. Beyond that, the update focuses on correcting some technical issues with how characters connect with attacks.

The cosmetics are quite good, particularly the ones available in the new Fight Pass. They really capture a Halloween vibe. Plus, the rewards at each progression level are usually pretty solid.

The TEKKEN 8 update 2.06.01 includes new and enjoyable character skins available in the Shop, but they will cost a little extra to add to your collection.

Patch notes for TEKKEN 8 v2.06.01

This TEKKEN 8 update, version 2.06.01, doesn’t add any new moves or speed changes. Instead, it focuses on refining how the game registers hits, ensuring that collisions happen as the developers originally intended.

The game has also been updated with enhanced visuals and sound. Plus, some of the original control schemes for King and Lee, which weren’t available in Version 2.0, have been restored.

The complete list of changes for the TEKKEN 8 2.06.01 update is available on the official website and you can also view them in the images provided.

Fight Pass Round 7 in TEKKEN 8: Halloween items and more

We’re really happy with this part of the 2.06 update! Fight Pass rounds don’t happen very often in TEKKEN 8, and the rewards you can unlock at each tier are special and fun.

Like with previous TEKKEN 8 Fight Passes, Round 7 features 30 tiers.

  • Free rewards are decent but certainly limited.
  • Premium Pass costs 600 TEKKEN coins. If you unlock all the tiers, you receive 700 coins back.

The rewards include some Halloween-themed items.

  • Halloween night panel.

  • Gothic top hat.

  • Single snake eye.

The latest Fight Pass includes some really cool character customizations. A few of these designs give a sneak peek at Armor King, who’s recently joined the TEKKEN 8 lineup.

  • The sticker “You read my mind”.

  • Rusty red coat.

  • Character illustration, like this one for Leo.

The patch to fix the game and the fight pass to boost activity

Honestly, this update feels like they’re finally trying to fix the mess that was the Season 2 launch. Like Bandai Namco said, they’re rolling out changes bit by bit, and patch 2.06.01 is the next step in getting things right. It’s good to see them addressing the issues, even if it’s taking a while!

This update probably won’t significantly change how balanced the game is, but it’s still a good idea to see how it affects your character.

Fight Pass 7 offers a nice boost for Tekken 8 players, especially those who play casually. While the in-game items are welcome, the feeling of making progress and having extra motivation to keep playing is what really stands out.

Jester Packs in TEKKEN 8

The TEKKEN Shop now has two new costume packs available. Each pack costs 400 coins and includes a set of cosmetic items to change up your character’s appearance.

  • Nightmare Jester

  • Whimsical Jester

For 100 TEKKEN coins, you can buy Avatar Skin “Armor King”.

This update isn’t substantial, so don’t anticipate major changes from the developers before the release of Miary Zo. A trailer showcasing her gameplay was revealed during the TEKKEN 8 tournament at Evo France 2025.
