Perrie Edwards extends an olive branch to Jesy Nelson after she said ‘it was like losing a limb’ when their friendship broke down

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just read that Perrie is *finally* trying to make things right with Jesy! Apparently, she said it felt like losing a part of herself when they stopped being close, and now she’s reaching out. It’s just… everything! I’ve been shipping them forever, and honestly, hearing Perrie say that just breaks my heart and gives me so much hope they can fix things. I’m seriously living for this potential reunion!

Jesy Nelson left Little Mix in December 2020 because she struggled with the pressures of being in a girl group. Over time, she also grew distant from her former bandmates, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Ann Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall.

Perrie, 32, publicly supported Jesy, 34, after Jesy shared a post on Instagram about her difficulties with body image.

She shared on social media that she’s finally happy with her body after struggling with strict diets for 33 years. Perrie responded with a ‘like’ to the post.

Little Mix fans quickly spotted the brief moment and shared their enthusiasm on X (formerly Twitter).

Fans are excitedly reacting to Perrie Edwards liking a post from Jesy Nelson, with many playfully shipping them as a couple and reviving old portmanteaus like ‘Pesy’ and ‘Jerrie,’ expressing hope for a rekindled connection.

Jesy recently shared that giving birth to her twins, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, in May with her fiancé Zion Foster, has helped her appreciate her body’s strength and beauty.

Jesy revealed she’s always been critical of her body, specifically wishing she had a flatter stomach and a smaller waist.

She also posted three beautiful black and white photos of herself in underwear, cradling her baby daughters, to accompany her body-positive message.

She shared that it took having her two daughters – and facing the possibility of losing them – for her to truly appreciate how amazing her body is.

For thirty-three years, I constantly dieted and criticized my body, always wishing I could change my shape – I even considered breast augmentation. Now, I’m here, proud to share this photo of who I am today.

She shared that she’s never felt more proud of her body, despite the changes it’s gone through. While her breasts have lowered and her stomach is softer, she feels it’s all worth it because her body gave her the greatest gift she could ask for.

I’m so excited to take my daughters back to their first home, the place where they proved everyone wrong. Being pregnant for the last nine months has taught me that I want them to always love their bodies, something I struggled with for years.

Jesy advised new mothers who feel pressured to quickly regain their pre-pregnancy bodies to practice self-compassion and be kind to themselves.

Perrie Edwards recently described her split with former bandmate Jesy Nelson as incredibly painful, comparing it to losing a part of herself in a recent interview.

The singer described a lost friendship as difficult, explaining it was tough getting used to life without that person.

Perrie’s first solo album comes out on September 26th, and she’s shared that writing the song ‘Same Place, Different View’ was challenging because it’s about a difficult breakup.

As a lifestyle expert, I often talk about relationships, and it’s so important to acknowledge all kinds. I recently shared with Glamour UK that one of my songs is actually about a lost friendship – a bond that sadly faded away. We discuss romantic breakups all the time, but it’s rare to openly talk about how painful it can be when a close friendship ends.

‘And it was like losing a limb. I was with her every day. We lived in each other’s pockets.’

Perrie explained that she and her friend were incredibly close and did everything together. Losing that friendship was really difficult for her, and she struggled to adjust to life without her.

Perrie Edwards revealed on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast that a song was written after her friendship with Jesy Nelson ended.

She explained that she wrote a song about a lost friendship. It’s hard to know how to deal with the end of a friendship, and we don’t really talk about it much.

It’s still incredibly painful – experiencing all the ups and downs of a relationship with someone, and then suddenly losing them.

‘But these things happen. Do we try and rectify things? Or just stay away?’

Perrie recently revealed she hadn’t spoken to her former Little Mix bandmate, Jesy, in quite a while, and found it very upsetting.

The singer told Cosmopolitan UK in a recent interview that the friendship is now completely broken.

She said: ‘We don’t talk and haven’t done for a long time… It’s really sad, it’s heartbreaking.’

Perrie explained that sometimes relationships just don’t work out, and that’s okay. While she wished things had turned out differently, she understands you can’t always control what happens.

Jesy Nelson has been open about her personal life since her 2019 BBC documentary, *Odd One Out*, which detailed her mental health struggles. The documentary also featured appearances from her former bandmates.

The Little Mix singer has shared how online bullying affected her life and mental well-being, and she’s meeting others who have experienced similar harmful online harassment.

The show was incredibly popular and won the award for Best Factual Programme at the National Television Awards in 2020.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen firsthand how damaging online negativity can be. When I think about Jesy Nelson’s experience on The X Factor, it really highlights this. She faced truly awful comments about her appearance, and it deeply affected her mental wellbeing. It’s a stark reminder that words have power, and unfortunately, that power can be used to hurt.
