Naomi Watts’ son Sasha, 18, towers over her as she’s honoured with star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Naomi Watts has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Australian actress looked stunning on Monday when she received a star on the famous Walk of Fame, recognizing her work in movies.

The actress, known for her role in King Kong, wore a peach dress and bright red lipstick. She styled her blonde hair in a timeless bob.

In an interview with Today, she explained that growing up in Australia instilled in her a strong work ethic, which has been key to her success.

She enthusiastically praised Australians at the event, noting their strong work ethic and genuine emotional expressiveness.

Several famous actors, like Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Edward Norton, joined the 57-year-old for her special celebration, along with American Horror Story director Ryan Murphy.

Jack Black jokingly interrupted Naomi’s celebratory moment by dramatically posing on her Hollywood Star while wearing jeans and a traditional Māori necklace from New Zealand. Naomi couldn’t help but laugh at his playful antics.

Nicole Kidman, a fellow Australian, wrote a letter that was read during the ceremony, describing Naomi as one of her closest and dearest friends.

Naomi Watts was joined by her husband, actor Billy Crudup, and her son Sasha Schreiber, who is now much taller than her, and she looked thrilled to have them there.

Recently, the 18-year-old began his college studies at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. His mother, Naomi, became emotional as she watched her eldest child start this new chapter in his life.

However, Naomi’s daughter Kai Schreiber was glaringly absent from her mum’s big day. 

You know, I’ve been watching this young star and her relationship with her mom, and it’s really sweet. Instead of making a big announcement, she chose a really personal way to acknowledge her mom’s support – she posted a picture of them together with a simple ‘I know that’s right’ caption on Instagram. It felt so much more genuine and heartfelt than a formal statement, and honestly, I loved that she kept it so low-key and focused on their connection.

Early in October, the up-and-coming model made her debut at Paris Fashion Week. Her mother was visibly proud, enthusiastically cheering her on from the audience during the Mugler Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show.

Kai was more recently seen in New York walking hand-in-hand with what seemed to be a love interest. 

The teenager was all smiles on Wednesday as she went out with someone new, and they both seemed very happy to be together.

Although they appear close, it’s unclear whether their relationship is a romantic one or simply a close friendship.

I was so moved when Kai shared her story last month. She talked about realizing her gender identity at a young age and what it was like to come out – it was incredibly brave and really resonated with me.

In a recent interview with Interview Magazine, the up-and-coming actress shared that she’d always dreamed of becoming a beautiful, glamorous, and powerful woman, drawing inspiration from icons like Marilyn Monroe.

She also expressed admiration for stars like Alex Consani, Hunter Schafer, Hari Nef, Dara, Richie Shazam, and Colin Jones, explaining they inspired her growing up as a transgender girl during a challenging period for the community.

Kai shared with the magazine that they deeply admire earlier generations of transgender individuals, particularly those in fashion. They expressed excitement about the growing and powerful transgender community within the fashion industry, playfully describing it as a complete ‘takeover’.
