EastEnders star Max Bowden steps out with Katie McGlynn amid rumours they’re growing close after his split from girlfriend

EastEnders actor Max Bowden was seen with Katie McGlynn, sparking speculation they’re becoming romantically involved following his recent breakup.

The 30-year-old actor and his former partner, Tori Allen-Martin, split up last month. They originally met while working together on the musical *Midnight Cowboy*.

During the show, the former couple were known for being very close, but they broke up shortly before he briefly reappeared as the character Ben Mitchell.

On Monday in Malvern, Max and Katie, both 32, were happy and cheerful as they walked to the Malvern Royal Theatre.

Katie bundled up in a camouflage Dry Robe, while Max chose a green quarter-zip sweater and jeans.

Max and Katie are acting together in a touring play called Murder At Midnight. There have been reports of ‘chemistry’ between the two, especially since Katie recently ended her relationship with TOWIE’s Ricky Rayment in July.

Someone close to the situation shared with The Sun that Max and Katie have known each other for a long time. Having both worked in the same television world for years, they’ve been part of a close-knit community where many people are acquainted.

They have a lot in common and both happen to be single while on tour.

They seem to really connect and enjoy each other’s company – there’s definitely a spark between them. Only time will tell what happens next.

Representatives for Max and Katie have been contacted by TopMob for comment. 

Last month Max split from Tori after their six month romance ‘fizzled out’.

Tori is most famous for playing the character Cherry in the BBC sitcom Here We Go, where she starred alongside Alison Steadman and Katherine Parkinson.

Meanwhile back in July the Daily Mail revealed that Katie had split from Ricky.

After meeting on a cruise in 2023 and beginning a relationship, the couple have split up. This happened even though people thought they might be engaged after Katie was seen with a diamond ring on Valentine’s Day.

Katie, who played Sinead Tinker on Coronation Street before her character’s death from cervical cancer in 2022, and Ricky, known from the reality show The Only Way Is Essex, shared they were ‘overjoyed’ to be together in their first interview as a couple last year.

However, their year-long relationship ended this summer. Katie, who lives in Manchester, and Ricky, 34, from Essex, had made an effort to stay together despite the distance.

Okay, so it looks like this breakup is *really* over. I’ve noticed they’ve completely scrubbed each other from their Instagram – all those cute vacation photos and even the original ‘we’re together’ post are gone. It’s a pretty clear signal they’re both moving on and want to put the past behind them, which, honestly, is a super common thing to do after a split.

A source told the Daily Mail that Katie and Ricky have broken up, but they remain friends and intend to stay on good terms. Their relationship is no longer romantic.

Although the distance made their relationship challenging, it ultimately didn’t work out.

You know, Ricky actually first noticed Katie when she was on Coronation Street! She played the character Sinead Tinker for quite a while – from 2013 all the way up until 2020. It’s funny how people first catch your eye, isn’t it? For him, it was seeing her bring Sinead to life on screen.

Katie’s character, Sinead, tragically passed away from cervical cancer, and the storyline focused on the emotional impact of her loss on those closest to her.
