Rebecca Ferguson has shared additional information about a fellow actor who reportedly yelled at her during filming.
The 40-year-old actress first spoke about the problematic actor in February of last year, revealing she was deeply frightened. She explained that speaking out against bullying can have serious consequences, as employers have the power to terminate your employment and replace you with someone else.
She explained how other people who had worked with the unnamed person also ‘had a shitty time’
I was absolutely floored when someone – a supposed peer, no less – actually questioned my abilities right to my face. They literally said, ‘You call yourself an actor?’ It was incredibly disheartening, and honestly, a really shocking thing to hear.
I was incredibly frightened, but I found the courage to tell them exactly what I thought. I said, “Get out of my life. I’m focusing on my goals – even something as simple as chasing a tennis ball – and I don’t want anything more to do with you.”
Rebecca said she asked the person to leave and acknowledged she wasn’t proud of how she handled the situation.

She explained that while we often blame bullies, it’s important to remember they’re often dealing with their own insecurities. However, she cautioned that asserting yourself can be difficult, even leading to negative consequences like losing your job to someone else.
Rebecca had previously mentioned that the actor made some of her former colleagues feel anxious, and this led to a lot of speculation in the media and among fans about who she meant.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, the Dune actress said she was surprised by the reaction to her previous statements.
She began by sharing a story about an actor she described as incredibly foolish who yelled at her, causing her to become upset and leave the set crying.
Rebecca later shared that she received calls from former colleagues, many of whom were impressed with her work and wanted to make sure she realized her accomplishment.
The star added: ‘And I was like, “Oh my God. No, I didn’t think.”‘
After thinking about it more, Rebecca realized she wasn’t responsible for shielding celebrities from public attention.
She explained that it wasn’t her problem and she wasn’t concerned. She emphasized that her life was her own, and if someone cared about her, they shouldn’t worry about her choices.

Reflecting on the media attention her story received, she admitted she somewhat enjoyed the spotlight.
Even now, at 21, I’ve come to realize it just doesn’t matter. I’m certainly much more open-minded now.
I’m also clear on my limits. However, the main goal of this interview wasn’t about *finding* someone – though I’m sure people will be curious.
I found the question – posed by Josh Smith – really interesting. It essentially asked if there was ever a time in my career when I was treated in a way that made me decide I needed to see change, and wouldn’t continue without it.
‘And it was such a clear moment for me working with this person.’
She remembered saying that she once worked on a movie with a truly frustrating co-star, but didn’t reveal their identity.
I don’t want to reveal too much, but I recall a time when someone was really upset and insecure because they were struggling with their performance. I was feeling particularly sensitive at the time, and ended up being yelled at.

She explained that because this person was listed first in the call sheet, she felt completely unsupported and had no backup.
I felt completely unsupported, and I’d often cry after leaving the set. One person would publicly humiliate me in front of everyone, asking if I was even a real actor and complaining about having to work with me. It was devastating.
Rebecca previously confirmed that the person she spoke of was not Hugh Jackman or Tom Cruise.
I was shocked to see everyone speculating that Emily Blunt might be the unnamed former colleague being discussed after that explosive interview! She quickly stepped forward to say it wasn’t her, which I appreciate – it was getting a bit out of hand online.
A spokesperson for Rebecca Blunt told DailyMail.com that she and Emily are friends and have a loving relationship.
