Krysten Ritter, famous for her role as Jessica Jones, recently posted a snippet of the “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2 trailer on her Instagram. The 20-second clip, first shown at New York Comic Con, included scenes featuring Wilson Fisk, Daredevil (Matt Murdock), Karen Page, Bullseye, and Jessica Jones. It opened with Fisk laughing and then showed Daredevil fighting in his updated suit.
The video revealed Krysten Ritter reprising her role as Jessica Jones, teaming up with Daredevil’s Matt Murdock to face off against Kingpin and his task force. Ritter shared the footage online, and fans quickly spread it, sharing clips and screenshots of Jones in action. The clip went viral, racking up over 1.1 million views in just a few hours. This marks Ritter’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since her Netflix series, *Jessica Jones*, concluded in 2019.
According to Marvel’s TV chief Brad Winderbaum, the second season of the show delves into the power dynamics of New York City while Kingpin, aka Mayor Fisk, is in charge. Showrunner Dario Scardapane wants the season to feel relevant to real-world issues. Winderbaum described the storytelling as focusing on political maneuvering and power plays, comparing the overall tone to that of Game of Thrones.
Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Jon Bernthal, and Margarita Levieva star in Daredevil: Born Again. The series centers on Matt Murdock’s fight to free New York City from the grip of Wilson Fisk, who is imposing strict control. Things get even more dangerous when the mayor puts the city under martial law.
The second season will debut on Disney+ in March 2026 and will further connect the Defenders characters to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.
