The new Netflix movie, Train Dreams, premiered at the London Film Festival on Sunday, before becoming available to a wider audience.

The highly-anticipated period drama, already receiving rave reviews and being called the best film of 2025, held a promotional event at the prestigious BFI Southbank, with many of its stars in attendance.

Felicity Jones stood out from the rest of the cast at the red carpet event, wearing a stunning black satin dress with a sheer panel detail.

The 41-year-old actress, known for her role as Gladys in the movie, looked stylish and put-together. She wore her brown hair in a neat bun and completed her look with simple drop earrings.

Felicity enhanced her radiant skin with a smokey eye and a soft peach lip color.

Kerry Condon, a co-star in the film, also wowed on the red carpet with a sharp, fitted suit dress featuring dramatic shoulder pads.

Kerry, 42, beamed, showing off her vibrant outfit. The dress featured large buttons and fit her perfectly.

At the event, the Formula 1 driver wore her blonde hair styled in loose curls, parted to the side.

Raffey Cassidy, known for her role in The Brutalist, opted for a relaxed look with faded blue jeans and a black turtleneck sweater.

She finished her outfit with a pair of loafers and added simple silver earrings for a touch of color.

Train Dreams features Joel Edgerton as Robert Grainier, an orphan whose story unfolds in America during the rapidly changing industrial era of the 20th century.

Robert becomes a logger, working on the growing railroad system in America. He eventually marries Gladys and they have a daughter together.

Spending more and more time away from his family due to work challenges everything he thought he knew about life.

This film is a heartfelt tribute to lifestyles fading away, a world constantly changing, and the remarkable potential found in everyday life.

Train Dreams beautifully portrays a vanished era and the individuals who worked to create a better future, even if they couldn’t fully imagine it themselves.

The film received a lot of positive attention after its January premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, starring Felicity Jones as Gladys.

It now has an impressive 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

A film critic called the movie a beautiful and thoughtful exploration of America, boosted by one of Joel Edgerton’s strongest performances yet.

‘Train Dreams takes on mythic proportions while maintaining an intimate emotional delicacy.’

Another added: ‘This is one of the great films of the year.

Eventually, this film will be considered among the best of its decade, and it will likely become a source of inspiration for many people for years to come.

The film also received high praise on Metacritic, earning a score of 82 out of 100. This score is based on reviews from 13 critics, who all generally loved the movie.

I was so thrilled to read in The Daily Beast that ‘Train Dreams’ was called the best film at Sundance this year! It really solidified my belief that this movie is something special.

Director Clint Bentley explained to Deadline that ‘Train Dreams’ is fundamentally a story about the everyday people who work hard to keep society functioning, even though their contributions often go unnoticed and unappreciated.

Robert Grainier’s story is straightforward, but it always reminds me how valuable life truly is.

It’s often the small, everyday moments we don’t even notice that actually make life meaningful and rich.

‘These days, as the world seems to be coming apart at the seams, that feels especially poignant.’

The film is an adaptation of Denis Johnson’s novella of the same name.

Train Dreams will be available to stream on Netflix from November 21.
