Benedict Cumberbatch looks suave in a khaki suede blazer as he joins glamorous wife Sophie Hunter at the London premiere of The Thing with Feathers

Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife, Sophie Hunter, attended the London premiere of his new film, The Thing with Feathers.

The 49-year-old actor, starring as a widowed father in the new drama, looked stylish in a suede blazer while posing with Sophie, 47, before the film screening.

He completed his outfit with a chocolate brown button-down shirt worn over a white tank top, and finished it off with sleek black trousers.

Benedict finished his look with sleek black loafers as he posed with his wife for the photographers.

Sophie looked stylish in a bronze satin dress that hit mid-calf. The dress had a high neckline and subtle gathering along the side.

She wore white heels and styled her brown hair into big, bouncy waves.

Benedict was also joined by the actors who played his sons in the show – brothers Henry and Richard Boxall.

Young Henry looked cute in a denim suit, and Richard chose a stylish navy suit as they posed with the actor for some heartwarming photos on the red carpet.

The movie’s director, Dylan Southern, and writer, Max Porter, were also in attendance.

Dylan chose a timeless look with a black blazer and navy pants. Max, on the other hand, made a statement in a bold black and blue pinstripe suit.

The new movie follows a father and his two sons as they deal with the unexpected death of their wife and mother. The film portrays their grief as a physical presence, symbolized by a large crow, while they attempt to rebuild their lives.

The Thing with Feathers is set to hit UK cinemas on October 24.

Benedict’s appearance at the premiere follows a recent interview with Olivia Colman where they shared some amusing stories about the strange parts of being famous. They discussed this on the ‘Dish from Waitrose’ podcast last month.

The Crown actress, 51, shared some of her most unusual fan experiences, revealing people have even asked her for selfies while she’s using the restroom – and they’ve even knocked on the stall door while she’s inside.

The Sherlock actor also shared that Halloween is his favorite holiday because it allows him to dress up and go unnoticed.

Actors from the new film *The Roses* chatted with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett about their work. They talked about the movie, how they approach acting while portraying intoxication, getting into character, and the feeling of being naturally suited to a life in acting.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what Olivia Colman said! She was talking about how weird fame can be, and she shared some stories about fans approaching her in the most unexpected places. It’s just… amazing and a little unsettling to think about where you might run into her! I’m obsessed with everything she does, so hearing about the realities of her life is fascinating.

She continued, mentioning someone asking for a selfie even while she was using the restroom. She said people would knock on the stall door, even while she was washing her hands.

Benedict Cumberbatch, known for his role as Doctor Strange, shared that Halloween is now his favorite time of year because he can go out and enjoy it without being noticed.

‘My favourite is Halloween,’ he said. ‘I went as Chewbacca last year and it was just great.’

Benedict remembered his costume mask was so effective that people had no idea who he was, allowing him to completely relax and have fun.

I was completely lost in the music, having a blast dancing to a Michael Jackson tribute, but honestly, I wasn’t paying attention to my surroundings at all! I was just letting the energy of the performance take over.

He continued, explaining that the Michael Jackson impersonator became upset because he was getting closer to the impersonator’s cardboard cutout, and people started paying more attention to someone dressed as Chewbacca and began dancing with them instead.

He was reportedly laughing – making a ‘hee hee’ sound – and someone may have recorded it and posted it online.

The actor went on to say that he feels most comfortable in a theatre – it’s where actors naturally belong, even when watching a performance as an audience member. He doesn’t try to hide his identity when attending events or shows, preferring to simply enjoy the experience.

I make an effort to protect my family’s privacy and give them the space they deserve. I don’t want to put them in the spotlight or take away their personal time.

‘But apart from that, I just have to own it. It takes an effort, though.

It feels strange entering a room where many people recognize you, but you don’t know anyone yourself.

Olivia also shared that she hasn’t been socializing much lately and explained why she chose to move away from London.

Okay, so she *said* she left London, but honestly, she swears she never stopped loving it! She really, really loves London, she made that super clear. It’s like, she moved, but her heart stayed there, you know?

‘But, um, it has helped me enormously.

‘To be able to go to big spaces where people don’t look at you.

‘And so now I feel like I can come back years later to London. I’m, I’m a bit braver.

‘I’ve managed to knock some of the fear out of myself.’
