Sarah Michelle Gellar stuns in black bra and miniskirt after paying tribute to ‘sister’ Michelle Trachtenberg

Sarah Michelle Gellar turned heads with a glamorous look, pairing a black bra with a sequined blazer and a short skirt.

The 48-year-old actress spent part of her weekend at New York Comic Con with her “Breaking Bear” co-stars. She made a bold fashion statement while posing for photos on the red carpet.

She made an appearance at the convention shortly after sharing a touching remembrance of actress Michelle Trachtenberg, whom she considered like a younger sister, on what would have been Trachtenberg’s 40th birthday.

The Emmy-winning actress looked stunning at the event, wearing a sleek black outfit. She paired it with high heels and delicate silver jewelry that complemented the beading on her open blazer, showcasing her toned legs.

She wore her blonde hair in soft waves, showing off her fresh curtain bangs after a recent haircut.

Gellar looked radiant in dewy makeup featuring peachy-pink blush and a mauve pink lip.

She took pictures with Annie Murphy, Brendan Fraser, and Elizabeth Hurley, who all lend their voices to the adult animated comedy series on Tubi.

She and her fellow actors provide the voices for a cartoon about a family of bears who turn to crime to protect their home from threats like fracking companies, gangsters, and a dangerous group of wolves.

She appeared on a panel at the convention with the actors who voiced characters in their new animated series, where they discussed the show.

The series was ordered by Tubi in August 2022 and is still currently in post-production.

A release date for the series has not yet been confirmed.

While New York Comic Con was happening, she fondly remembered her late friend and former colleague, Trachtenberg, and wrote a tribute to her.

Trachtenberg died on February 26th at the age of 39, just over seven months before she would have turned 40.

They first worked together on the soap opera *All My Children* in the 1990s, and then later became costars on *Buffy the Vampire Slayer*.

Okay, seriously, I’m *obsessed* with Jennifer Aniston! She just posted the most heartbreakingly beautiful video of her and Matthew Perry hugging, and she set it to ‘See You Again’ by Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa. I’m not crying, *you’re* crying! It’s just… everything. It’s perfect and so incredibly sweet and I can’t stop watching it. It just shows how much they meant to each other. Ugh, my heart!

She penned a heartbreaking caption while remembering her onscreen sister.

Gellar started by saying that even when you turned sixteen, it was difficult for her to stop thinking of you as the young child she first encountered on the soap opera ‘All My Children’.

Turning twenty-one for you felt like a turning point – I realized I couldn’t think of you as a little girl anymore. It’s hard to even picture what reaching forty would have been like for us both.

She added: ‘This I know … it would be filled with love. Happy birthday @MichelleTrachtenberg.’

Police found Trachtenberg dead in her home on February 26th after receiving a 911 call.

The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office stated that the woman’s family didn’t allow an autopsy, so the official cause of her death couldn’t be determined.

Almost two months later, the New York City Medical Examiner’s office determined that her unexpected death was caused by complications from diabetes. The Mayo Clinic describes diabetes as a condition where the body has trouble processing blood sugar.

Officials told People magazine that the revised conclusion was reached after reviewing toxicology test results, and that these tests didn’t require an autopsy.

Trachtenberg starred as Dawn Summers, the younger sister to Gellar’s character Buffy in the series.

She joined the iconic TV series in season five and up until the season seven finale in 2003.

Following the announcement of Trachtenberg’s passing, Gellar honored her former costar and on-screen ‘little sister’ by sharing photos from their time together on the set of Buffy.

She wrote, ‘Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you,’ echoing a famous line from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season five finale, where Buffy gave her life to save her sister.

‘The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you.’
