Invincible Season 4’s Most Terrifying Threat Has Been Confirmed

So, I thought things might calm down for Mark Grayson, you know? After everything – getting almost killed by his dad, Omni-Man, and needing a ton of help to take down those alternate versions of himself in Season 3 – I was hoping for a break. Nope. Apparently, more trouble is definitely on the way. It’s like, can this guy *ever* catch a breather?

Okay, as a huge fan of *Invincible*, I’m seriously hyped for the next season on Prime Video! It’s going to be intense – Robert Kirkman is promising it’ll hit hard, like a punch from Omni-Man. And get this – they’ve officially confirmed Thragg as the big bad! Not only that, but Kirkman is also finishing up an *Invincible VS* game, and Thragg will be the boss you have to beat. Seriously, this is amazing news for fans like me!

Lee Pace voices Thragg, a tremendously powerful Viltrumite and the leader of the Viltrum Empire. Like those before him – including Omni-Man – his goal is to grow the Empire’s reach, even if it means harming other civilizations.

Thragg, a full-blooded Viltrumite trained from birth on his home world, poses an enormous danger to Earth and everyone who opposes him, including Invincible and Atom Eve. His arrival could lead to widespread destruction.

Thragg Is Not … Invincible

Okay, so people are reading into what was said, and honestly, it totally makes sense on two levels! First, it’s saying he’s *not* actually Invincible – he’s way stronger and a better fighter than even Grayson, and he’s not even part human. Second, while he’s going to be the biggest threat our hero has ever faced, he *can* be beaten. It won’t be easy, but it’s possible!

Similar to other Viltrumites, Thragg is highly susceptible to disruption from high-frequency attacks, which can throw off his balance and cause intense pain, even weakening his powers. He’s also vulnerable to the Scourge Virus, a dangerous bioweapon that affects anyone with Viltrumite heritage, stripping them of their super strength and invulnerability and leaving them open to serious injury in battle.

In Season 4, and likely Season 5 now that the show has been renewed, Grayson and Co. will face their biggest challenge yet when they confront Thragg – they’ll need to give it their all to succeed.

Season 4 of Invincible will arrive on Prime Video in March 2026.
