Marvel Studios Updates From NYCC 2025 Panel

Brad Winderbaum, who leads Marvel TV and animation, announced at New York Comic Con that Season 2 of *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man* will premiere on Disney+ in Fall 2026. This is the first official confirmation of when the new episodes will be released.

Season 2 continues the story immediately after the events of Season 1, diving deeper into Peter Parker’s family history. As viewers will recall, the last season ended with the surprising revelation that Peter’s father, Richard Parker, is still alive and imprisoned, with Aunt May having recently visited him. The new season will also feature a lot more action involving the symbiotes, building on the hint of Venom at the end of Season 1.

Viewers got a first look at footage from Season 2, officially confirming Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Daredevil in animated form. The season will also introduce Gwen Stacy to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time. In a key moment, Peter asks her what to call her, and she replies, simply, “Gwen,” establishing her as a classic romantic interest.

The new trailer showed more of Doc Ock and the alien Venom. Peter Parker goes back to Oscorp and discovers the symbiote, then makes an agreement with Norman Osborn. The trailer ends with Robbie Robertson falling from a roof – a scene reminiscent of Gwen Stacy’s fall in *The Amazing Spider-Man 2* – and abruptly cuts to black before we see if Spider-Man saves him.
