Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo and husband Eddie break silence after fraud arrest

Wendy and Eddie Osefo, stars of The Real Housewives of Potomac, have publicly addressed the accusations of fraud that led to their arrest.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the couple was arrested Thursday night in Westminster, Maryland, and later indicted by a grand jury. They face charges of insurance fraud, conspiring to commit insurance fraud, and lying to a police officer.

A spokesperson for the Osefos has stated that they have returned home and are prepared to address the matter in court.

Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward, are home safe with their family and doing well. A spokesperson for Wendy shared that they are thankful for all the support and concern they’ve received from friends, fans, and coworkers.

The Osefos and their lawyers are eager to present their case in court. They ask for privacy at this time so they can focus on their family and the ongoing legal proceedings.

A couple falsely reported a burglary at their home, claiming designer bags and jewelry were stolen while they were on vacation in Jamaica. However, police discovered the couple had actually returned the items to the stores for full refunds *before* the alleged burglary took place.

Prosecutors allege that the individuals filed an insurance claim for $450,000, stating they had suffered a personal property loss.

After a burglary, Wendy posted on social media wearing a diamond ring she had previously reported as stolen.

During the investigation, police discovered the couple had returned items they initially reported as stolen to the stores where they bought them and received full refunds before claiming a burglary had occurred.

Wendy and her husband were released on Friday after having their bail set at $50,000.

The Daily Mail has reached out to the couple for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Wendy and her husband have been together since 2011 and are parents to three children: Karter, 12, Kruz, 9, and Kamrynn, 6.
