Moody Blues singer and bass guitarist John Lodge has died at the age of 82.
John Lodge’s family announced with great sadness on Friday that he had unexpectedly passed away. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and brother.
Those who knew him well would agree that his greatest joys were his wife, Kirsten, and his family. He was also deeply passionate about music and his faith.
The statement also noted that John passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, with music by The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly playing.
‘We will forever miss his love, smile, kindness and his absolute and never-ending support.

We are heartbroken, but will walk forwards into peace surrounded by the love he had for each of us.
As John would always say at the end of the show, thank you for keeping the faith.’
