The ‘real reason’ why Alan Carr killed off ‘best pal’ Paloma Faith on Celebrity Traitors

Alan Carr shocked viewers on Thursday’s Celebrity Traitors by dramatically ‘eliminating’ his close friend, Paloma Faith.

The Daily Mail has uncovered a hidden plan for payback that could explain why the comedian suddenly ended his friendship with a close friend.

Just four months before filming the popular BBC One show, Alan, age 49, shared a surprising story: Paloma, who was playing a ‘Faithful’ contestant, almost seriously injured him. This happened before he was revealed as a ‘Traitor’ by host Claudia Winkleman.

He explained that Paloma, age 44, made him seriously ill with food poisoning after he visited Alan Carr’s home, where Adele and her dog, Louis, were also guests.

Alan wasn’t the only one feeling unwell – Adele’s dog had an accident on his expensive rug after eating some of Paloma’s lamb.

To make matters worse, Alan discovered he’d left some expensive shoes at her house. Instead of giving them back, she donated his Paul Smith shoes to a charity shop.

During a conversation on Paloma Faith’s podcast, ‘Mad, Sad and Bad,’ Alan jokingly asked if they would be discussing the time Paloma almost harmed him and nearly injured Adele’s dog.

He recalled that Adele, her dog Louis, and Paloma had visited. He remembered Paloma offering to cook a delicious meal – he thought it might have been a Spanish lamb dish.

We were just sitting around when Adele’s dachshund, Louis, grabbed a piece of lamb and… well, let’s just say he had a very quick reaction. It happened right on an expensive rug, and it was quite a mess.

Adele was shouting ‘no, no, no, get some kitchen roll!’ so I rushed downstairs. She grabbed the roll, and I thought she was going to clean up after the dog, but instead, she stuffed it up her nose to block out the smell!

Paloma admitted she still felt guilty about making Alan sick. ‘I can’t shake it,’ she said. ‘Seeing you on TV always reminds me. We laugh it off, but I really did feel terrible for a long time.’

Alan appeared confused when Paloma admitted she’d given away a pair of his Paul Smith designer shoes to a charity shop.

Paloma admitted that the person she’s talking to left a pair of shoes at her house two years ago. She finally confessed she donated them to a charity shop six weeks ago, apologizing for doing so. She explained she thought they weren’t coming back – that they had simply disappeared – and joked that the charity shop is probably making a lot of money from the shoes.

Alan replied: ‘You didn’t? They were designer, they were Paul Smith!’

On Thursday’s episode of Celebrity Traitors, Alan surprisingly eliminated Paloma, hoping their close bond would make it seem less suspicious.

Alan has been hilariously bad at keeping secrets while playing the role of a Traitor on the show. He confessed to sweating a lot and even needing a drink to cope with the pressure of deceiving others.

So far, he has remained undetected, although broadcaster Clare Balding already has her suspicions.

The latest episode left viewers on the edge of their seats, wondering which celebrity will be the first one voted off from the Scottish castle, and if Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway might be eliminated.

Niko Omilana, a YouTuber, and Tameka Empson, known from EastEnders, could be eliminated as they’ve received votes from other celebrities. However, Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns, and Alan from the show seem secure for now.

The first all-star series will feature well-known faces like actor Stephen Fry, singer Charlotte Church, Olympic diver Tom Daley, and comedian Joe Wilkinson.

Following the depiction of her murder in a film, Paloma shared a picture of her gravesite on Instagram, writing simply, ‘Heartbroken. Lost for words.’

Cameras captured her reaction when she found out who the Traitors were for the show *Uncloaked*. She said, ‘Jonathan? I always thought he was a bit of a nerd. Honestly, I’m not upset to lose him as a friend.’

She expressed shock and hurt, saying that people she knew had deliberately harmed her because she hadn’t suspected them of being capable of such a thing.

Paloma, learning that her friend Alan was responsible for her death, expressed a mix of emotions. She said, ‘I truly cherish these three people, but I sincerely hope they don’t contact me ever again. This is completely unacceptable, and I feel deeply betrayed right now.’
