The actor confirmed that Gambit will maintain his distinctive Louisiana roots and personality. He described the character as the most relatable of the X-Men, pointing out his flaws and realistic traits – he enjoyed life’s pleasures and operated in a moral gray area. While not a villain, he wasn’t a traditional hero either, which the actor believes makes him a very human character.

Tatum explained his strong connection to the character Gambit, sharing that Gambit was his favorite growing up. He fondly recalled playing with playing cards as a child, pretending to be the character. He’s thrilled Ryan Reynolds gave him the opportunity to portray Gambit and share his vision for the character with fans. Tatum described playing Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday as an incredibly rewarding experience.

Channing Tatum hasn’t revealed many details about Avengers: Doomsday, but he previously told ET that it will be incredibly intense. He compared it to the moment Blade appeared in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, saying audiences will be completely blown away.
