One Punch Man to return to Overwatch 2 with potential new characters

The popular character Saitama from One Punch Man is coming back to Overwatch 2, and there’s a possibility we’ll see new character outfits (skins) released with the update.

The first Overwatch collaboration with One Punch Man was a big hit with players, joining a growing trend of games featuring anime characters. Because of how well it did, Blizzard appears to be planning a return of the event, and might even include new character skins this time.

One Punch Man to return to Overwatch 2

Overwatch differs from games like Fortnite, where character outfits are often based on well-known fictional characters. However, Overwatch does offer skins that change the appearance of its heroes. The recent collaboration with One Punch Man proved particularly successful financially, generating significant revenue for the game.

I mean, who doesn’t want to see Doomfist dressed up as Saitama?

The team-up featuring Saitama as Doomfist, Genos as Genji, and Terrible Tornado as Kiriko is coming back! Currently, all we know is that these character skins will be available for purchase in the game’s shop.

There’s been talk that more character outfits might be released, potentially including designs inspired by Fubuki and Garou.

Price

The One Punch Man skins in Overwatch 2 each cost a different amount. Here’s a breakdown of the prices for each skin inspired by the series:

  • Doomfist x Saitama Bundle: 2,500 Overwatch coins
  • Genji x Genos Bundle: 1,900 Overwatch coins
  • Kiriko x Terrible Tornado Bundle: 2,100 Overwatch coins

Players who want to buy all the available skins can get them for 4,400 Overwatch coins. New skins will likely cost around 2,000 Overwatch coins, similar to past releases.

Release date

The One Punch Man character skins will be available again in Overwatch 2 on October 14, 2025, coinciding with the start of Season 19. This collaboration is timed to fit the Halloween theme of the new season.

Did you not have the chance to grab the skins the first time around? Well, you’d better hop on it.
