Many believed Gregg Wallace’s career was over when the BBC fired him earlier this year. Things got worse when Penny Lancaster, Sir Rod Stewart’s wife, publicly criticized his unkind behavior on MasterChef.
Wallace is strongly protesting, as he said he would, after an independent investigation confirmed many of the accusations against him – including inappropriate language and one instance of unwanted physical contact – out of a total of 83 allegations. Specifically, 45 of the claims were substantiated.
I can now share information about the lawsuit Wallace, a 60-year-old man who has been married four times, threatened to file against the BBC after he was let go.
Court records show that while his job at the BBC was uncertain in March, he asked both the BBC and its distribution arm, BBC Studios Distribution, for information.
Both requests concerned the personal information they had on file about him, specifically details related to his 21 years of employment, including his work, contracts, and performance.
Wallace claims the BBC labeled his request as ‘complex’ and said it would take three months to fulfill, instead of the usual one month.
BBC Studios replied that it would ‘endeavour to respond’ within a month.
According to Wallace, the BBC didn’t send him anything. However, BBC Studios claimed they were holding back some of his personal information, citing ‘freedom of expression’ as the reason.

Wallace claims that BBC Studios hid information about who had access to his private details while they were being managed and handled.
The BBC declines to comment.
Wallace is concluding his initial legal action by asking a court to compel the BBC to meet his demands and award him up to £10,000 in compensation for the distress and harassment he claims to have suffered.
Boy George pays a record price for coat
Boy George declared earlier this year: ‘I’m working hard to pay off my debts and am getting there.’
Boy George, the 64-year-old singer from Culture Club, owed £1.8 million due to a financial dispute with his ex-bandmate and former partner, Jon Moss.
It seems George is doing well financially – I heard he recently spent £3,950 on a jacket from Benedict Lamb, called the Anthro Armour.
It’s a record price for an item at Soho’s Light House boutique and private members’ club.
The Light House is headed by Joe Corre, who co-founded the lingerie brand Agent Provocateur and is the son of the late fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

Sons ‘ghost’ Denise over racy shots
Dame Denise Lewis’s recent photoshoot for the lingerie brand Coco de Mer likely earned her a good sum of money, but it has reportedly caused embarrassment for her teenage sons.
She said she was ‘ghosted’ – meaning someone suddenly stopped talking to her without any explanation, and she was saying it playfully.
The Olympic gold medalist, also a former commentator for the BBC, revealed her sons, ages 19 and 16, have seen recent photos of her. She shared this at a launch party in Mayfair, which was also attended by Tess Daly, the host of Strictly Come Dancing.
Denise, 53, adds: ‘I know their friends have seen it and have been giving them hell.’

How Liz put a song in Billy Ray’s heart
It’s been six months since Elizabeth Hurley started dating musician Billy Ray Cyrus, and she’s now shared that he wrote a love song just for her.
The actress, who is also a model and businesswoman, confirmed that he wrote a song about discovering happiness.
Let me tell you, trying to teach my wife, Liz, how to play the guitar has been…an experience! At 64, I thought I could easily pass on my love of music, but at 60, she’s proving to be a pretty tough student – in the best way, of course! It’s definitely a work in progress.
‘I’m not a very good student,’ she admits. ‘You have to keep your nails incredibly short.
‘It’s quite hard, I always thought it looked quite easy.’
Hurley adds that while they enjoy birdwatching in general, they’re especially passionate about birds of prey. They love spending entire days using their telescopes and binoculars to observe these magnificent birds.
Van Outen reveals her secret sausage stash
Queen Elizabeth famously kept a few essentials in her Launer handbag – things like lipstick, tissues, mints, and even dog treats for her corgis. TV personality Denise Van Outen has a different approach, often carrying a sausage roll or sandwiches in hers.
She says she constantly worries about not having enough food, explaining that she’s always lived in a rural area and had to travel to London to get supplies.
‘I’d be on a broken-down train or a coach and think, “I haven’t got anything to eat”.
I always carry snacks with me, just in case. For example, I even brought sausage rolls to the National Television Awards.

Lady Sarah Chatto, a cousin of King Charles and a talented painter, has generously donated one of her vibrant artworks to an online auction. The auction benefits Horatio’s Garden, a charity that designs peaceful gardens for people with serious spinal cord injuries.
The charity honors Horatio Chapple, a 17-year-old Eton student who tragically died in Norway after being attacked by a polar bear during a trip.
Lady Sarah, age 61, expressed her pleasure in supporting fundraising efforts to help individuals cope with life-altering injuries.
