Evo France 2025 is Europe‘s largest fighting game esports event, bringing together over 4,500 players from 93 nations. It will include official qualifying rounds and the first major tournament for those with early access to the game 2XKO.
Europe has a thriving and enthusiastic fighting game community, with many popular events like VSFighting, UFA, and Clash of the Olympians. But even in this already active scene, Evo – the world-renowned fighting game tournament – is making a big impact! Evo France will be held for the first time in 2025, and it’s set to be an unforgettable event for the community.
The event includes seven main tournaments. Most of them are part of World Tours and Championships.
- Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN 8, FATAL FURY CotW, Guilty Gear Strive, and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising — These games have the highest-tier qualifiers for their official leagues.
- Dragon Ball FighterZ and Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact — It’s a love letter to the deep tradition tag-team fighters in France.
Besides the main tournaments, Evo France 2025 will also feature some smaller competitions. The most notable of these is 2XKO, a new game that just entered early access a few days ago and is already generating a lot of excitement.

So far, Capcom showed only this Outfit 4 for Zangief.

Evo France is giving out more points towards the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 (TWT 2025) standings for top players in TEKKEN 8, recognizing them as Master+ qualifiers.
Top players like Arslan Ash, the Evo 2025 winner, JeonDDing – a local star sponsored by Team Vitality – and Knee, who triumphed at Evo Japan 2025, are all competing.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves
Okay, so the SNK World Championship 2025 is happening at DreamHack Atlanta from October 31st to November 2nd. For those of us playing *FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves*, Evo France 2025 is where we can try to snag one of the last three spots to qualify for Worlds. It’s gonna be intense!
Top players from the SNK fighting game community are competing, even those who’ve already made it to the finals. Kindevu earned his spot through the Saudi Fighting League Season 4 Major, despite losing two championship matches to yunwu. Poongko recently won Vegas Climax V in early October. Players like mok, Tyurara, and Xian will also be competing for the title at Evo France 2025.

Guilty Gear Strive
The Arc World Tour 2025 has begun, and Evo France 2025 is a major qualifying event for the fighting game Guilty Gear Strive. The player who wins Evo France will earn a spot in the Global Finals.
Nitro, the winner of Evo 2024, is competing in this tournament alongside strong players like Leffen, Tiger_Pop, and Zando, making for a very competitive event.

So, Arc System Works showed off Guilty Gear Strive 2.0 at Evo 2025, and honestly, it looked awesome! We haven’t heard much since then, but I’m really hoping a new announcement drops soon to get everyone excited again.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
Evo France 2025 is a significant tournament in the Arc World Tour 2025 and a Platinum-level qualifier. The winner will automatically qualify for the next stage, and all participating players have a chance to earn more points towards their overall ranking in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
Okay, so if you’re looking for players to keep an eye on, Gamera – he actually *won* Battle Arena Melbourne this year – is a big threat. Then there’s Skyll, who made it all the way to the finals at UFA 2025. And don’t forget Ryazo; he was top 6 at Combo Breaker 2025, which is seriously impressive. Those three are definitely ones to watch!

Meg is the newest playable character coming to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising this fall. Developers will soon be showcasing her gameplay, following the recent addition of Wilnas to the roster.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
While the peak of competitive Dragon Ball FighterZ worldwide has passed, the game remains incredibly popular in France. With many top players hailing from the country, it makes perfect sense to include DBFZ in the Evo France 2025 lineup.
Top Dragon Ball FighterZ players like Hikari, the previous World Tour winner, Yasha, a champion in major events, and WADE, who won UFA 2025, will be demonstrating the latest version of the game at this tournament.

It doesn’t look like Dragon Ball FighterZ will receive any more updates, but it will still be showcased at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 event.
Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact
This tournament represents the highest level of competitive play for the Hunter x Hunter fighting game. It’s exciting to see how skilled players perform in its team-based format.

Nen Impact needs significant improvements to reach its full potential. While the game still has a lot of promise, hopefully the developers at Arc System Works are planning some exciting updates.
2XKO
After a lengthy development process and beta testing, 2XKO is now available in early access. The League of Legends-based fighting game will be featured as a side tournament at Evo France 2025.
Popular fighting game players like SonicFox, Wawa, and Leffen are competing in this tournament, among others.

Warwick was revealed recently, and Riot Games can show something interesting at Evo France.
At Evo France, attendees will be able to play the new fighting game, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
As a fighting game fan, I was stoked to hear that Evo went international and hit Singapore in 2027! And for those planning a trip, Evo Japan usually takes place in the spring – specifically, from May 1st to 3rd. It’s a great event!
