Scott Cam addresses rumours that Adrian Portelli has been banned from The Block – and confirms location for 2026 season

Scott Cam, host of The Block, has addressed the speculation about Adrian Portelli, known as ‘Mr. Lambo,’ being removed from the show.

In 2024, 36-year-old Portelli made television history by buying all five properties featured on a renovation show in Phillip Island for over $15 million.

I was really surprised to hear that the person who made the offer for Block said they wouldn’t be coming back. It definitely made me think the network had decided not to work with them anymore, and honestly, it felt like they were pushed out.

Scott clarified on Thursday’s ‘Fifi, Fev and Nick’ show that they didn’t ban the individual in question – that claim originated with Portelli.

Scott explained that since it was a public auction, anyone could attend. They had simply suggested to the previous buyer, who had been successful in past auctions, that they allow some families the opportunity to purchase the houses this time.

Scott also subtly mentioned Portelli’s sponsorship of Seven’s new reality show, My Reno Rules, which was revealed in July. The show has faced several problems and delays since the announcement.

Scott mentioned that Adrian is likely working with a different network on another project, so he probably won’t be at our auction. However, Scott added that Adrian is still welcome to attend if he chooses.

Scott denied Brendan Fevola’s idea that Portelli had intimidated Danny Wallis, a well-known Block bidder who’s spent over $30 million on properties during the show.

‘He hasn’t been scared, Danny,’ Scott insisted.

He’s a really helpful person and often provides properties for our My Room program. If he were to purchase another similar property, it would be fantastic for us.

Scott revealed during the conversation that The Block 2026 will be filmed in Mount Eliza, following a report from Daily Mail in August.

‘We’re looking forward to that,’ Scott said.

I’m planning to visit Mt Eliza next week to look for a house to rent for three months.

‘So, if you have a house that I could rent in Mt Eliza for three months, give me a call!’

I’ve noticed Scott is a pretty private person when it comes to his family, which I totally respect. He recently mentioned his wife, Annie, will be joining him on set in the next few weeks – he described it as a ‘visit,’ which is sweet! It’s nice they’re making time for each other amidst his busy schedule.

Honestly, seeing my kids get into it too just makes it even better! I totally lose myself in these towns – Daylesford was amazing, Phillip Island was incredible, and now I’m completely obsessed with Mt Eliza. It’s not just about the place itself, it’s about really *living* in that community, and I absolutely love that feeling!

Nine, the media company, recently purchased land on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria for almost $11 million, following several weeks of talks.

Mount Eliza, located 65 kilometers southeast of Melbourne, is a highly sought-after coastal getaway. It’s famous for its stunning views, beautiful homes, and lively holiday vibe.

This follows a recent outburst from Portelli, the wealthy and often debated owner of LMCT+, who criticized Channel Nine in July, claiming they didn’t properly acknowledge his involvement with the show.

People involved with the 2024 Phillip Island season say there was noticeable friction among the cast and crew as soon as filming ended.

Although Adrian made a lot of money on the show, people close to him say he felt ignored by the producers and host Scott Cam, and he wasn’t shy about expressing his anger.
