Victoria Beckham is launching a temporary shop inside Selfridges department store to coincide with the release of a new Netflix documentary about her fashion line on Thursday.
The 51-year-old designer showcased one of her dresses in the newly built luxury section of the department store, known as The Corner Shop.
The pop-up shop is launching at the same time as the debut of her three-part documentary, which explores the challenges the brand has overcome.
Victoria Beckham started her fashion label in 2008, but it struggled financially for many years. David Beckham’s businesses had to help the company out several times before it finally became profitable in 2023.
Victoria described her new collaboration with Selfridges as an attempt to build a truly personal and immersive environment. She wanted the space to feel like a natural extension of her own creativity and home life, emphasizing architectural details, luxurious fabrics, and a carefully chosen color palette.

In Spring 2016, he provided Victoria’s company with a total of £10.6 million – a £4 million loan and £6.6 million in cash – to prevent it from failing.
In a preview for her new show, Victoria became emotional and cried while discussing the challenges she’s faced with her business. This was shown in the first trailer for her upcoming documentary.

Victoria has repeatedly emphasized that her family comes first. In a recent trailer, she tearfully shared her biggest wish: ‘I want my kids and David to be proud of me.’
The trailer concludes with David comforting his upset wife, telling her that even something simple like making a cheese and ham toastie would make him proud.
Victoria then quipped back: ‘Let’s be honest I couldn’t actually make a cheese sandwich very well.’
Just last year, it became known that her brand, which had struggled for years, was finally profitable – 17 years after it first began.

Financial reports for Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd. showed losses of £5.89 million in 2021, which was an improvement from the £8.58 million loss reported in 2020.
As of that point, the company had accumulated losses of £66.3 million since it began operating in 2008. The company’s directors, including Victoria and her husband David, hadn’t received any dividend payments.
The actress playfully admitted she appeared rather gloomy in the first trailer, as she thought about her life and work.
Netflix released a new trailer on Wednesday showcasing interviews with friends of the subject, including Tom Ford and Eva Longoria. The trailer also briefly featured her oldest son, Brooklyn, despite ongoing family disagreements.

While watching old videos of her Spice Girls days, she emphasized that she’s stayed true to her roots and admitted she’s always craved acceptance, even as a child.
The trailer briefly showed her shift from being a singer to a fashion designer, and another designer, Tom, admitted that many people initially doubted her ability to succeed in the fashion world.

It all happened so quickly, and we all reacted instantly. The kids seemed a little embarrassed, but in that moment, the song really connected with us. We just started dancing and, ultimately, it was a special experience for us.
Victoria had viewers laughing during the documentary when David jokingly questioned her statement about growing up in a working-class family.

Netflix reports that the Beckham documentary series was its most popular show for two weeks after its release almost two years ago, attracting 11.6 million viewers worldwide.
Victoria Beckham will be released on Netflix on October 9.
