Hollywood stalwart Elizabeth Berkley has had an incredibly varied career.
Actress Elizabeth Berkley became well-known for her role as Jessie Spano on Saved By The Bell. The character was specifically written to showcase her talents.
She then starred as Nomi Malone, a provocative Las Vegas stripper, in the 1995 film Showgirls, alongside Gina Gershon.
The actress suffered a setback when a particularly cheesy film damaged her reputation. However, she rebounded with a role in Woody Allen’s 2001 film, *The Curse of the Jade Scorpion*, and subsequently began taking on smaller roles in other projects.
And the leggy wonder with the winning smile also popped up the redo of Saved By The Bell.
The 53-year-old actress looked remarkably youthful and fit this week while attending Paris Fashion Week with her husband, Greg Lauren, who is the son of designer Ralph Lauren.
And the stylish star also talked to Vogue magazine about her favorite designers at the moment.

Saved By The Bell was an instant classic that still has a strong fane base.
Elizabeth and Tiffani Amber Thiessen both tried out for different roles on the show. When Tiffani landed one of those parts, the character of Jessie was specifically written for Elizabeth.
The series aired between 1989 and 1993. Following that, Elizabeth landed what would become her most well-known – and controversial – role in the 1995 film *Showgirls*.
Paul Verhoeven directed Showgirls, reuniting with screenwriter Joe Eszterhas after their successful collaboration on the erotic thriller Basic Instinct.
The screenplay was the priciest ever purchased, but the deal became well-known for all the wrong reasons. The resulting movie received terrible reviews and failed to earn back its cost at the cinema.
Despite failing at the box office—and partly due to its restrictive rating—the movie became very popular when released for home viewing.
The movie *Showgirls* quickly gained a dedicated following, largely due to Elizabeth Berkley’s bold performance as the stripper Nomi Malone. A particularly memorable and outlandish scene, featuring a line about once enjoying ‘Doggy Chow,’ alongside Gina Gershon, helped cement its cult status.

The film actually harmed Elizabeth’s career, especially since she’d just left *Saved By The Bell* hoping to succeed in movies.
She admitted being upset that the project wasn’t successful, but said the negativity surrounding it was even harder. She shared that she was bullied because of it, in an interview with People magazine two years prior.
I was confused about why I was getting the blame. As an actor, my role is to bring the director’s ideas to life, and I felt I had done exactly that.
She felt abandoned by everyone involved with the film, stating that no one defended her or offered support. As a result, she was ostracized and felt like an outcast in the industry she’d dedicated herself to.

Elizabeth rejoined the cast of Saved By The Bell when it was revived on Peacock two years ago, but the show was recently canceled after its second season this May.
Recently, Elizabeth appeared in the HBO miniseries *The Idol*, alongside the late Anne Heche.
Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Johnny Depp, appeared in the series *The Idol*. The show centers on a pop singer who becomes involved with the owner of a nightclub who also leads a cult.
The show features Lily-Rose, Anne, and Elizabeth alongside popular artists like The Weeknd and YouTube personality Troye Sivan.
