EastEnders star Max Bowden ‘grows close to Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn’ – after ‘splitting from actress girlfriend Tori Allen-Martin’

Max Bowden, known for his role on EastEnders, is said to be getting close to Katie McGlynn, who stars in Coronation Street, following his recent breakup with actress Tori Allen-Martin.

I was so bummed to hear that the actor, who’s around 30 and worked with Tori in ‘Midnight Cowboy,’ and her reportedly split up! Everyone said they were totally inseparable while they were doing the show, but then things changed last month, just before he went back to his role as Ben Mitchell. It’s a shame, they seemed so good together.

He’s currently performing in a touring play called Murder At Midnight with Katie, age 32, who recently ended her relationship with reality star Ricky Rayment in July. Sources say the two have a strong connection.

According to a source speaking to The Sun, Max and Katie have known each other for a long time. Their careers in the soap opera world meant they moved in the same circles and were familiar with each other for years.

They have a lot in common and both happen to be going through a breakup while on tour.

They seem to really connect and enjoy each other’s company – there’s definitely a spark between them. It’s exciting to think about what might happen next!

It comes after last month Max split from Tori.

She’s most famous for playing Cherry in the BBC sitcom Here We Go, where she stars alongside Alison Steadman and Katherine Parkinson.

Meanwhile back in July the Daily Mail revealed that Katie had split from Ricky.

After meeting on a cruise in 2023 and beginning a relationship, the couple have split up. This happened even though Katie was seen with a diamond ring on Valentine’s Day, leading some to believe they were engaged.

Katie, known for playing Sinead Tinker on Coronation Street before her character’s death from cervical cancer in 2022, and Ricky, a familiar face from the reality show *The Only Way Is Essex*, shared they were ‘overjoyed’ to be together in their first interview as a couple last year.

However, their year-long relationship ended this summer. Katie, who lives in Manchester, and Ricky, 34, from Essex, had made an effort to stay together despite the distance.

It’s honestly heartbreaking! They’ve completely scrubbed each other from Instagram – *everything* is gone. All those adorable vacation photos, the post where they first announced they were together… it’s like their whole relationship never even happened. I keep checking, hoping something will reappear, but it’s just… gone. It’s like they’re trying to erase each other from existence, and it’s killing me!

According to a source, Katie and Ricky have broken up. They are still friends and intend to stay that way, but their romantic relationship is over.

Even though the distance made their relationship challenging, it ultimately didn’t work out.

Ricky mentioned he first noticed Katie when she played the role of Sinead Tinker on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, a part she held from April 2013 to March 2020.

Katie’s character, Sinead, tragically passed away from cervical cancer, and the storyline focused on the emotional impact of her loss on those closest to her.

Ricky recalled first noticing the actress years ago during her powerful final scenes on Coronation Street, where she played a character battling cancer. He said he was immediately impressed by her performance.

Following her departure from Coronation Street, Katie competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, but was eliminated after the second week.

Katie, who danced with Gorka Márquez, said she became good friends with him even though they were eliminated early on during Movie Week.

The actress, known for her roles in Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks, confessed she initially formed an opinion of Ricky based on his time on TOWIE, where he was famously linked to his former partner, Jess Wright, before they actually met.

She explained that she immediately recognized him, but quickly judged he wouldn’t be someone she’d be interested in – she pictured the typical Essex guy and assumed they wouldn’t click. Luckily, she was completely mistaken!
