Stereophonics had to cancel their upcoming concerts in Australia and Dubai because singer Kelly Jones injured his jaw.
The band was scheduled to perform five concerts in Australia, starting October 18th in Brisbane, and also at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on October 29th.
Doctors have advised Kelly to avoid long trips while she recovers from an injury, and she’s currently receiving physiotherapy to help with healing.
He shared on social media that he’s really upset and disappointed to announce he has a dislocated jaw. He clarified it wasn’t caused by singing, but just a strange, unexpected injury.
Our shows in Australia and Dubai have been cancelled. If you bought tickets, you’ll get a refund from where you purchased them. We’re making this decision because long-distance travel isn’t recommended for health reasons right now.
Our UK tour in December is still happening as scheduled. I rarely cancel shows – I’ve only cancelled four in my entire 30-year career – and I want you to know I didn’t make this decision to proceed lightly.

Kelly explained that she dedicates herself to delivering a fantastic performance each night, preparing thoroughly from morning until the show begins. She expressed her respect for both the audience and her hardworking team, emphasizing that she wouldn’t let any doubts interfere with their collective effort.
Right now, the focus is on recovery and physical therapy. With 13 studio albums to enjoy, keep listening to those records until we connect again. Sending love and wishes for good health to everyone.
Those with tickets will receive a full refund within 21 days.
The legendary Welsh rocker’s UK tour includes dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, and London.
The tour kicks off in Nottingham December 4, and wraps up at The O2 in London on December 18.
In July, the band played a pair of homecoming shows at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Earlier this year, Kelly looked back on his 33-year career and jokingly expressed his disbelief that a major celebrity performed at his wedding.
Oh my gosh, you guys, he *said* it’s been a total whirlwind! He was talking about all these incredible artists he’s toured with before – seriously, legends! – and then he just casually dropped that Ronnie Wood *played at his wedding*! I almost fainted! Can you believe it? Ronnie Wood! It’s just… everything!

Kelly shared with The Sun that they’ve been incredibly fortunate to tour with many of their musical heroes, including David Bowie on his final tour, as well as The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and U2. They said it was an unbeatable experience.
Having Ronnie Wood play in my wedding band is just completely unbelievable. Those are the kinds of experiences I’ll always cherish, because I never imagined they’d actually happen.
It’s unclear which wedding the Rolling Stones musician played at, but Kelly has been married twice. He first married graphic designer Rebecca Walters in 2003, and they had two children together before divorcing in 2007.
He married journalist Jakki Healy in 2013, and they have two children together.
In August 2027, it will be 30 years since Stereophonics released their first album, ‘Word Gets Around,’ but Kelly Jones says he doesn’t plan on having a celebration.
He wasn’t sure they’d make a big celebration out of it. He pointed out that anniversaries for various records seem to come around every couple of years, and he personally prefers to focus on the future rather than dwell on the past. He expressed pride in the work he did on ‘Word Gets Around’.
I’m so thankful I’ve been able to keep writing songs over the years. With 13 albums and a catalog of 180 songs, I have a lot of options to choose from for each performance.
