Dolly Parton’s team has assured fans that she is doing okay, following a recent request from her family for well wishes and prayers.
Following the postponement of six shows from her Las Vegas residency, Dolly Parton’s sister, Freida Parton, revealed she’d spent the night praying for Dolly’s health.
Dolly’s UK manager, Olly Rowland, has stated that Freida’s recent post has exaggerated the seriousness of Dolly’s health issues.
He explained: ‘It’s just the kidney stones, and the procedure she needs to resolve those.
‘It looks like her sister posted, and it got quite a bit blown out of proportion, weirdly.’
Freida recently posted on Facebook to clarify that she didn’t intend to worry anyone or make the situation seem worse than it was.

She hasn’t been feeling well lately, so I asked people to pray for her, as I truly believe in the power of prayer.
A younger sister simply asked for prayers for her older sister, and we’re so grateful for everyone who sent positive thoughts and support. Your kindness really means a lot.
Dolly has previously suffered from kidney stones both last month and back in 2015.
Frieda shared on Facebook Tuesday night that she spent the previous night praying for her sister, Dolly.
As many of you are aware, she hasn’t been doing well recently. I strongly believe in the strength of prayer, and I’m asking everyone who cares about her to join me in praying for her recovery.
She’s a strong and loved person, and I truly believe she’ll recover thanks to everyone’s prayers. Wishing her all the best, my dear Dolly. We all love you very much!
Dolly Parton has delayed her Las Vegas show, originally planned for December 4-13 at Caesars Palace, until September 2026 because of health concerns. She announced the postponement on September 28th.
The actress announced on Instagram that she’s been dealing with health issues and will need to have multiple medical treatments.

I’m letting my fans know directly that I have to postpone my concerts in Las Vegas. I’ve been having some health issues, and my doctors have advised me to get a few medical procedures done.
You know, I always say self-care is key, and lately I’ve been feeling the need for a major refresh! I joked to friends that it was time for my ‘100,000-mile check-up,’ just to let them know I wasn’t popping in for my regular cosmetic appointment. It’s all about prioritizing wellness, inside and out!
Despite the setback, Parton reassured fans that she is not retiring.
She reassured me she had no plans to retire, explaining that she felt called to continue as long as she didn’t receive a sign from God to stop.
Lately, I’ve been feeling a strong pull to simplify things and just *be* for a moment. It feels like I need to recharge so I can fully embrace all the exciting things we have planned together in the future. I’m so grateful for your love and support, and I appreciate you understanding my need for a little pause.
Olivia Munn responded to the post with several red heart emojis, and singer Brandi Carlile called Dolly Parton ‘flawless.’
Jennifer Nettles, the country singer, shared a hopeful message, saying, ‘Lots of exciting things are coming your way! I’m so excited to share them with you. Until then, please take care of yourself and get well soon!’
Actress Julianne Hough shared three heart emojis.
Many other fans expressed similar feelings, with one writing ‘Protect Dolly at all costs!!!!’ and another sending wishes for her recovery, saying ‘Get well soon, Dolly!’
Many people expressed their care and concern, with one commenter writing, ‘We love you so much, please take things slower and take time to rest and recharge.’
Dolly Parton worried fans last month when she had to cancel a planned visit to Dollywood, where she was going to reveal a new ride or exhibit.
Dolly Parton couldn’t be at the event in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, but she shared a pre-recorded video message explaining she’s recovering from kidney stones.
Even though she wasn’t there in person, Dolly seemed healthy in her video message and assured her fans she’d be back to Dollywood before long.
In 2015, she revealed that she had three kidney stones removed and was ‘doing just fine.’
‘I love and appreciate everyone’s concern,’ she wrote in a statement on her website, at the time.
