Alan Carr has said he will be doing ‘no comedy’ as part of his plan to win The Celebrity Traitors.
The 49-year-old comedian revealed he’s deliberately avoiding jokes and instead focusing on stories from his past job at a call center, hoping this approach will help him succeed on the popular BBC game show.
Paloma Faith, Charlotte Church, and Kate Garraway are among the celebrities joining Claudia Winkleman at her castle this Wednesday.
Before the show even starts, Alan explained that viewers will see a new side of him. He’ll need to change his approach, as it’s a serious drama and won’t involve any comedy – he’ll have to completely transform for the role.
It’s important to talk to everyone, even those you wouldn’t usually, to check if they’re concealing something. It’s not about judging whether someone is a loyal friend or a betrayer, but simply about uncovering hidden information.
I’m good at adjusting to new situations and using my people skills. My experience working in a call center, where I constantly handled different issues, has prepared me well for this role, and I believe those skills will be very useful.

I remember when Alan came in with a clear game plan, but he wasn’t alone! Jonathan Ross actually said he thought *not* trusting celebrities would give him an edge on the show, which I found really interesting. He figured it would help him see through any attempts to mislead others.
He explained: ‘I’ve watched all the versions around the world and I love playing games.
I’ve often dreamed of being inside the castle. It’s a unique experience – something you can’t just buy – to actually be a part of The Traitors after watching it so many times.
We all enjoy watching this from the comfort of our homes, and I’m really curious to experience what it’s like to be part of the excitement firsthand.
I generally don’t trust celebrities, so my first reaction is to suspect they’re all disloyal.
The former host of ‘Chatty Man’ said he really wants to win, just to annoy his friends.
Oh my gosh, I read this thing in The Mirror, and it’s just *so* Alan! Apparently, he was totally convinced his agent was scheduling him for the *second* week of performances, but everyone around him – all his friends – were absolutely certain he’d be voted off in the first week! It’s like he was living in a different reality, bless him. I just knew he’d surprise everyone, but even *he* seemed to doubt himself! It’s just… classic Alan!
People also think diver Tom brought a lot of wool items – essentially a cozy comfort kit – to help him and the other competitors relax after their challenging days.

I’ve always admired Tom, and he admitted he really wants to win, he’s definitely competitive. But what he told me is that he trusts people too much, and that’s actually what’s held him back. It’s a surprising weakness, but it makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
Even before the first episode of the new spin-off airs, a second series of The Celebrity Traitors has apparently already been confirmed.
The Sun reports that another season of the celebrity version of the popular BBC show has already been confirmed.
Executives are optimistic about the new season’s success, as the previous non-professional season, which broadcast in January, averaged seven million viewers per episode.
Before the show even begins on BBC One, producers are reportedly already planning the cast for the next season.
We’ll have to wait and see who proves to be loyal and who betrays the group, but with these people involved, we’re anticipating a lot of drama.
Claudia has made it clear that all contestants will be treated equally, meaning celebrities won’t get any special advantages and will face the same fun, challenging tasks as everyone else.
Okay, seriously, *The Traitors* is just HUGE right now! I mean, everyone is obsessed, it’s the biggest thing on TV *everywhere*, and honestly, the people they’ve got on this season? Absolutely incredible. I’m completely hooked, and I think everyone else is too!
If this hadn’t become a massive television event, things could have gone terribly wrong for everyone involved.
Officially, whether the show gets a second season depends on how well the first one performs. However, behind the scenes, a renewal is practically guaranteed.
A representative for the group stated to DailyMail that it would be unwise for supporters to predict what might happen next.
