Kim’s presence at Paris Fashion Week signals her comeback to the city, following her previous visit in May. She was there to testify in the trial concerning the well-known 2016 hotel robbery and jewellery theft. This marks her first return since providing evidence.
Almost twenty years ago, the mother of four had a deeply upsetting experience: she was held up at gunpoint while staying in her hotel room.
I remember it so vividly. She was in Paris for the 2016 Spring/Summer Fashion Week, staying at the No Address Hotel, when, in the middle of the night, her room was broken into by five robbers. It was absolutely terrifying to hear about – a truly awful experience for her.
Kim was held captive at gunpoint and confined to the bathroom while thieves stole $10 million worth of jewelry from her, including the engagement ring she received from her then-husband, Kanye West.
While giving evidence in the trial of the 10 accused, the television personality described how she was genuinely afraid for her safety during the terrifying experience.
‘I absolutely did think I was gonna die,’ she said during her testimony, per the BBC.
She stated she was only wearing a robe at the time of the incident, and remembered the robe exposing her body when one of the men pulled her closer.
During her testimony, she stated, ‘I genuinely believed I was going to be sexually assaulted,’ but the robbers ultimately tied her legs together, as reported by NBC News.
