Freddy Brazier reveals he will name his child after his late-mother Jade Goody in touching tribute if his pregnant ex welcomes a baby girl

Freddy Brazier has shared that he plans to name his child after his mother, Jade Goody, if his pregnant ex-girlfriend has a baby girl.

Jeff Brazier’s son, and the late Jade’s son, shared in August that he and his former partner are expecting a baby.

Sharing the news for the first time since his announcement, he told The Sun that the baby is expected in April 2026.

He told the publication: ‘I think Jade would be a good name, if it’s a girl, after my mum.

I also have a few special and lovely name suggestions. The baby is expected next year, in April, and I’m incredibly excited – I can’t wait to become a father!

He clarified that he and the mother of his child are not currently dating, but maintain a civil relationship. They both share the goal of providing a good life for their child.

Freddy shared that his father, Jeff, is completely supportive of him, but his brother Bobby was rather surprised by the news.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the story of Freddy and his ex, and it’s clear their relationship ended badly – lots of arguments, you know? But what’s interesting is that, before things fell apart completely, they had talked about trying to work things out, even if just to co-parent together. It seems they were open to the idea of becoming parents, despite their issues, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work out that way.

It seemed like the couple was rekindling their romance last month when he posted the first picture with the woman he referred to as his ‘baby mother-to-be’.

Freddy announced he’s taken by sharing a cute video on TikTok. He posted a photo with his partner and simply wrote: ‘Off the market.‘

Another photo showed his girlfriend with their pet dog, which he titled: ‘My little family so far.’ 

Freddy captioned the update: ‘My Riches, my happiness and my reasons to keep on growing!’

The dad-to-be has now put those rumours to bed in his latest interview.  

Earlier this month, the model shared on Instagram, both in a post and a video, that he’s going to be a dad, playfully stating: ‘I’m actually a DILF to be!’ – which stands for an attractive dad, as he revealed the exciting news.

Freddy’s older brother Bobby has also spoke about becoming an uncle for the first time at the NTAs.

Bobby shared with Daily Mail: ‘I’m really happy to be an Uncle, and we’ll all work together to raise the child, just like you do with anything else.’

‘My dad has been super supportive and we’re going to raise the baby together.’ 

When questioned about whether his show could mend the recent family conflict – stemming from a disagreement between his brother and father, Jeff – Bobby responded: ‘I’m not sure about healing, but we’re going to raise it together.’

‘At first I thought it could have been a prank when I heard about it,’ Bobby admitted. 

The Mail on Sunday first reported the news last month, and the Strictly star said he immediately called his father to confirm it. His father then verified the story’s truth.

Jeff and Freddy hadn’t spoken for most of the past year, but they’ve come back together after hearing the news about the baby.

According to a source who spoke with the Mail on Sunday, Freddy only had one option: ‘His dad.’

Although things hadn’t been easy between them, especially after Jeff got lawyers involved to prevent Freddy from visiting his grandmother, who was known for being emotionally unpredictable, he always felt confident that his father would support him during a difficult time. It was a comforting thought.

The source went on to say, ‘He’s stayed in frequent touch with Jeff and has been following his guidance.’

Freddy was really surprised to learn he’s going to be a father, and he’s needed guidance through it. Jeff has been incredibly supportive and is helping him a lot.
