According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are still very interested in each other and are looking forward to seeing each other again whenever she has time off from her tour.

Let me tell you, from what I’m hearing, Katy is *really* into him. She describes him as a total catch – a genuinely high-quality person. She’s pretty private, so she doesn’t share everything, but it’s clear she still has strong feelings. It’s sweet to see, honestly!

In July, the 40-year-old pop singer and the 53-year-old ex-Canadian Prime Minister caused a huge reaction on social media after they were seen together at a restaurant in Montreal, Canada.

They talked animatedly for several hours on their date, eating several seafood dishes. 

People who were close to Perry stated at the time that the meeting was simply a friendly get-together, and not a date or anything romantic.

Following their date – and after Trudeau unexpectedly showed up at her show a couple of days later – the two continued to communicate with each other.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing that things aren’t quite over between these two. The Daily Mail has learned they’re still very much in contact – constantly texting and calling, and often chatting for hours at a time. It seems like there’s still a strong connection there.

People who work closely together share updates about their lives, including what’s happening with their families and children, and they’re hoping to spend more time together face-to-face soon.

According to an insider who spoke with the Daily Mail, the couple’s busy schedules and distance are keeping them apart. ‘They just are so busy and in different cities, so they aren’t physically together,’ the source explained. However, the insider believes a long-distance relationship is worthwhile with this person. ‘If there’s anyone worth having a long-distance relationship with, it’s him,’ they said. ‘She likes him a lot. He likes her a lot. I’d even say they’re enamored.’

She’s surprisingly good at texting. When she likes someone, as she does with him, she consistently makes an effort to send a good morning message or check in to see how their day is going. She’s just thoughtful like that.

Perry will have around three months before she has a significant break in her schedule that would make a visit to Trudeau possible.

According to an insider who spoke with the Daily Mail, ‘She remains quite occupied with her tour,’ and ‘it’s too early to say what the future holds.’

The Perry’s Lifetimes Tour will conclude on December 7, 2025. It began on April 23rd and will include a total of 91 performances throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.

She does not have any obligations scheduled for several weeks after the tour ends. 

As a lifestyle expert, I can tell you that Katy Perry, who and recently separated from Orlando Bloom after being together for eight years, wasn’t actively seeking a new romance so quickly. It’s understandable – taking time to heal and adjust is so important after a long-term relationship!
