Caprice warns people against using weight loss jabs after she suffered terrible side effects from trying to lose 20lbs out of fear of being fat-shamed

Caprice Bourret has cautioned the public about potential risks associated with using Mounjaro or similar weight loss injections, explaining she personally experienced unpleasant side effects.

The model, 53, has long been admired for her physique. However, after gaining 20lbs last year, she chose to try the injections, fearing negative comments about her weight.

Caprice put on weight after she stopped following her healthy lifestyle. She went from a size 8 to a size 12 because she started enjoying chocolate and red wine.

She soon began suffering from ailments like heart palpitations and difficulty going up the stairs.

The actress confessed she was anxious about public reaction to her weight gain and struggled to lose the weight through normal means, attributing this difficulty to the menopause.

Caprice’s doctor gave her a very small dose-a ‘microdose’-of Mounjaro, but she experienced side effects that were difficult for her to manage.

‘It was awful. I got sick to my stomach. I got dizzy and lightheaded but I kept persisting because I needed to lose the weight,’ she told The Sun.

Following a weight loss of five pounds over two months, she stopped using the product and went back to a very strict diet. She eliminated carbohydrates and processed sugar in order to lose the remaining weight.

Caprice knows several people who have tried Mounjaro or Ozempic, and quite a few have experienced unpleasant side effects.

She mentioned that prolonged use of Mounjaro can lead to changes in the skin, causing it to become looser. ‘I’ve observed this in people I know,’ she explained. ‘You might hope to avoid it, but it seems to happen anyway,’ she added.

The model also stated she’s heard of women experiencing hair loss due to severely restricting their food intake – essentially ‘starving their body’ – while using Ozempic.

Caprice admitted that losing weight naturally is harder, but she urged people to carefully consider the potential consequences of using weight-loss injections, especially since she’s tried them herself. She wanted people to think twice before using jabs.

Caprice was raised in Hacienda Heights, Los Angeles, by her mother, Valerie, an interior designer, and her father, Dale, a real estate agent, who passed away in 2016. At the age of 17, she moved from home to New York City to start her career as a model.

She became famous in 1996 when she wore a very revealing black lace dress by Versace at the National TV Awards.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! She said that the very next day, her face was on the front page of every newspaper – seriously, every single one! And that, she told me, was how it all began. I mean, can you even imagine?! It was insane!

Recently, Caprice showed she’s still looking fantastic at 53, confidently posing in a bikini for a steamy new photoshoot.

The model is revisiting her peak popularity in men’s magazines – she previously appeared on 250 covers – with a new photoshoot for Loaded.

The celebrity earned her first million pounds at age 25. Following a smart real estate purchase in Surrey, she’s continued to expand her property holdings while her successful lingerie company has reportedly earned her £24 million.

From a young age, she dreamed of being an actress. When she found she wasn’t being cast in main roles, she took matters into her own hands and started creating her own films. She launched her own film company, JJLove Productions, named after my boys Jett and Jax.

I’m a huge fan, and I’m always excited to see what she’s working on! She’s incredibly prolific, making several films every year. I just heard that her newest one, A Scottish Christmas Secret, is coming to Channel 5 later this year, and I can’t wait to watch it!

She’s left her days of appearing on reality television behind, having been on shows like Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs On The Farm.
