I’ve been following Kimberly Friedmutter for years, and she describes herself as a hypnotherapist, but that’s really just the tip of the iceberg. What people *don’t* know is that she’s constantly retained by eight incredibly wealthy families – we’re talking billionaires – and a whole host of famous faces. They come to her amazing $6 million zen sanctuary just outside of Las Vegas for a five-day ‘rewire’ session. But she’s not just helping them relax; she’s essentially a global fixer for them, handling all sorts of sensitive issues. It’s fascinating to watch!
When children from wealthy families struggle with substance abuse or other addictions and are facing difficulties, they are often sent to Friedmutter, 62, for a five-day program. This intensive therapy aims to help them understand and address their problems by essentially ‘downloading’ their issues and then ‘reconfiguring’ their subconscious minds – she describes it as updating a damaged computer system. Friedmutter’s approach focuses on identifying and resolving underlying issues to promote lasting change.
I’ve been following this clinic’s work closely, and it’s incredible. As one of the staff told the Daily Mail, parents are really seeking help for their kids – they’re coming in large numbers. These young people have often been struggling for months, self-medicating with things like ketamine, Xanax, and THC vapes. But the program seems to be working! They spend about five days there, and the goal – and it’s often achieved – is for them to leave completely free from drugs and alcohol. It’s truly life-changing.
Well-known figures – including Jackie Siegel, often called the ‘Queen of Versailles,’ David Hasselhoff, and Clayton Echerd, who starred in season 26 of The Bachelor – also visit the desert. As Friedmutter explains, ‘it might seem surprising, but they struggle with many of the same issues as everyday people,’ along with numerous others she can’t mention due to privacy concerns.
She has gained support from many well-known celebrities, including Sharon Stone, Jennifer Hudson, Martha Stewart, Mike Tyson, Quincy Jones, George Lopez, and Jennifer Harman, a two-time World Series of Poker champion.
Her approach is straightforward and quick: just five days, without any drugs, and with limited conversation-all with the goal of helping people transform their lives. She asks for $2,000 per hour, or $50,000 for the complete five-day program.

According to Friedmutter, hypnotherapy works by temporarily bypassing your conscious mind, allowing for changes to be made at the subconscious level. He explained to Daily Mail, ‘I focus on treating the individual, rather than just addressing the issue itself.’
She wrote the 2019 book, ‘Subconscious Power: Use Your Inner Mind to Create the Life You’ve Always Wanted‘ and is also known for appearing on reality television, including Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
I’ve been following Roxanne Friedmutter’s work for a while now, and it’s so much more than just the relaxing experience she offers on the zero gravity chair. It’s incredible! She and her husband, Brad Friedmutter – a really famous architect who’s designed some of the most impressive casinos you can imagine – share this amazing 15,000-square-foot estate they call ‘Shangri-Las Vegas’. It’s truly a unique space, and it’s clear she puts so much thought and energy into everything she does. It’s not just about relaxation; it’s a whole lifestyle. I’m constantly amazed by her creativity and vision. It’s really something special, and I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance. You can find more information here.
The eight incredibly wealthy families that Friedmutter serves – including the Siegels – can reach out to her anytime, day or night, from anywhere in the world. They depend on her to handle all kinds of urgent situations, whether they involve personal or professional crises.
Friedmutter notes that all of her wealthy clients are self-sufficient individuals – both men and women – who engage her services to assist family members across multiple generations, ranging from successful leaders to those facing difficulties.
‘Some sessions happen with the family’s medical doctor in the room,’ she said.

My role is to help all patients-from the granddaughter to the problematic uncle–because the family can’t risk losing staff or creating a public scandal.
She shared with Daily Mail about at least two recent cases where families believed the older men in their families-the patriarchs-were being poisoned through their food, drinks, or vitamins and supplements. It was a worrying time for them.
Friedmutter stated she was unaware of the specific type of poison reportedly used – she only knew she was involved in the secret operation to address the situation.
Friedmutter often deals with complex cases that can be risky, so she maintains a team of private investigators and lawyers. She can reach out to them quickly if any of her wealthy clients face a potentially suspicious or problematic situation.
However, her work frequently involves becoming as close to her affluent clients as if she were a real family member. It’s about building deep, personal relationships just as often as providing a service.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve followed many fascinating stories, and Jackie Siegel is certainly one of them. You probably recognize her as the star of the 2012 documentary, ‘The Queen of Versailles,’ which followed the construction of her incredibly grand home in Florida with her late husband, David Siegel, a major figure in the timeshare industry. What many don’t know is that Jackie and I actually started working together with Friedmutter fifteen years ago – it’s been a long and interesting journey!

Siegel explained that Friedmutter evolved from a professional acquaintance into a ‘mentor, sister, guardian angel’ – and became a crucial source of support when Siegel dealt with several heartbreaking losses. These included the fatal drug overdose of her 18-year-old daughter, Victoria, in 2015, the passing of her 89-year-old husband in April 2025, and the drug overdose of her sister, Jessica Mallery, 43, just three days after her husband, David, died.
‘I have her number saved for quick access,’ Siegel shared with Daily Mail. ‘She’s supported me through everything – from the loss of our daughter, to when I lost my husband and sister this past year.’
She’s a source of strength for me. She has a magnetic personality, bringing people together and finding ways to overcome even the most difficult challenges. She really helps you navigate through tough times and finds solutions when you need them most. She unites people and creates positive change.
However, Friedmutter is best known for her five-day intensive program. Clients participate each day, generally beginning around 10am and continuing until late afternoon. The program typically involves around 25 hours of work in total.
She described it as emerging from a cave, explaining, ‘I have the map and the flashlight, but you’re the one doing the exploring.’
She promises families will see positive outcomes – a belief, she explains, that stems from her selective case acceptance and consistent communication through weekly check-ins she refers to as ‘downloads’. She assures families that this approach leads to success.

Last week, Daily Mail was observing part of Friedmutter’s work when Clayton Echerd, who appeared on The Bachelor, unexpectedly showed up.
I still remember when this all started unfolding – it was back in 2023. Echerd, who’s only 32 and now works as a real estate broker in Scottsdale, Arizona, really had a tough time. It all began when a woman named Laura Owens, from Arizona, falsely claimed she was pregnant with his child. The really shocking part? She admitted they only had a one-night stand and that they never actually had intercourse. It was a complete public nightmare for him, and I felt so bad watching it all play out.
Following Owens’ indictment in May on seven serious charges – including fraud, perjury, and forgery – Echerd was exonerated. The case involves at least two other individuals, and Owens’ trial is scheduled to begin early next year.
Echerd explained to the Daily Mail that the emotional distress caused by the untrue claims led him to seek assistance from Friedmutter. He is now preparing to restart his work as a mental health advocate and public speaker.
Friedmutter stated that Clayton is striving to be perceived as a mature and credible individual. She wants to identify and address any patterns of self-destructive behavior he exhibits, and then establish more positive and constructive habits.
‘Clayton is ready to launch. He’s hungry for it. I’m going to get him there.’
Friedmutter mentioned that David Hasselhoff, the famous star of Baywatch, is one of her biggest successes and will help her company become public. Hasselhoff has publicly battled alcoholism for many years.
She explained that his transformation included distancing himself from ‘The Hoff,’ the wild and energetic image he had developed.
‘There were just the three of us in the room – David, the Hoff, and myself,’ she explained. ‘We needed to separate the character he played from who he actually was as a person.’
Friedmutter has firsthand knowledge of the kind of trauma she sees in her clients.
Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, my life was deeply affected by the abuse I suffered at the hands of my own mother, who was a schoolteacher. It was terrifying – she would often come into my room at night and physically abuse me, sometimes even choking me. It’s a difficult memory, but one I’m sharing in hopes of healing and helping others.
I’ll never forget what my mother was like. She was a lovely woman, and she really did try her best to help me succeed, but honestly, it’s heartbreaking to say, she was also extremely abusive,” Friedmutter shared.

I’m talking about terrible mistreatment – things no one deserves to experience, whether it’s physical, emotional, or any other kind. She would often choke me while I was sleeping, practically every night.
However, her mother gave her a crucial boost by encouraging her to relocate to Manhattan at 14. There, she signed with the Ford modeling agency.
After that, she was sent to live abroad. She shared living spaces – apartments in cities such as Paris, Milan, and Hamburg, Germany – with other young models, and lived independently.
She first married Charles Vallow at 19 years old in Texas. He was later tragically killed in 2019 as part of the Vallow-Daybell doomsday murders.
Charles Vallow later married Lori Vallow Daybell, who was found guilty of plotting his murder earlier in 2024.
Friedmutter ultimately moved to Los Angeles and began a career as an actress in television and film. Later, she transitioned into talk radio and, to manage her performance anxiety, explored neurolinguistic programming and hypnosis. These techniques helped her with both public speaking and performing.
I’ve always understood her decision to not have children. She explained it to me once, and it really resonated. She was deeply worried about repeating the cycle of abuse she experienced with her own mother. She honestly feared she wouldn’t be able to provide a healthy, loving environment, and that fear was rooted in her past. It wasn’t an easy choice, but she felt it was the right one for her, and I completely respect that.
She shared that she’s genuinely happy with her husband, Brad. He’s the designer behind Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan Hotel, which you can actually see from the pool area at ‘Shangri-Vegas.’
Friedmutter incorporates neuro-linguistics into her work. This means she carefully listens to how clients talk about their issues to understand how a habit is formed. She then creates new ways of speaking, practices them while in and out of a trance, and combines them with physical actions and touch. This helps clients change their patterns.
But Friedmutter says not everyone qualifies to be her client.
If a person is being dishonest during an interview or actively seeking confirmation from therapists that they are ‘unfixable,’ I generally respond with, ‘not at this time.’
