Jason Manford had to cancel a performance because of the severe weather brought by Storm Amy, only a few hours before he was scheduled to begin. He was set to take the stage, but the extreme weather conditions made it impossible.
The comedian, age 44, was scheduled to perform his A Manford All Seasons show in Belfast on Friday evening. However, it was announced that the plane he was traveling on couldn’t land and had to be diverted to another location.
A message posted on Instagram explained that Storm Amy caused severe weather, preventing the British Airways plane carrying Jason Manford from landing in Belfast this afternoon. The flight was diverted to Manchester, and as a result, his show tonight has been cancelled.
Please keep your tickets safe, and we will reach out next week to let you know the new date for the show that has been rescheduled.

Only three hours before, the actor from Waterloo Road shared a story on his social media about a strange incident. He said it felt like something out of the movie Final Destination, explaining that a passenger insisted on getting off the plane right before it departed from London City Airport.
He shared that, while on a significantly delayed flight and right after the safety instructions, a woman informed the flight crew she wished to disembark! They were literally about to start taxiing and take off, but she’d apparently changed her mind!
‘I’ve seen too much Final Destination to not take this seriously!’
He followed up by showing a video of the pilot speaking to the passengers, saying: ‘The weather isn’t ideal, but it’s still safe enough for us to land in Belfast right now.’
It’s difficult to predict exactly what the landing will be like right now. The conditions are very windy and dusty, and the weather is changing rapidly. We’re dealing with unpredictable conditions at the moment.
I’m ready to travel, and I assure you I won’t go anywhere I can’t reach by plane. I only want to travel to places I know I can fly to.
Shortly after that, the weather unexpectedly worsened, forcing the flight to change its course and land in Manchester instead. The original route was no longer safe to continue.
Jason then shared a video showing the pilot landing the plane despite very strong winds, and commented: ‘Honestly, that was frightening! Especially after those passengers disembarked! It felt like a premonition. ‘
Just wanted to say how sorry we are that the bad weather forced us to cancel tonight’s show. We’ll be back performing as soon as we can! Thank you for your understanding and all the kind messages.
A spokesperson for Jason informed The Daily Mail: ‘All ticket holders will be contacted next week regarding the new date.‘
Earlier this year, the comedian posted a message on his local Facebook community group, asking for information about the person who damaged his car. He was looking for whoever hit it.
An eyewitness left a hand-written note on his car, stating they saw a ‘black or blue Tesla’ collide with his front bumper at 11:23 AM. The note indicated the incident occurred at that specific time.
Unfortunately, they didn’t provide any way to reach them, and it wasn’t clear whether they were responsible for the accident or if another driver caused it.
To try and discover who wrote it, the father of six posted a photo of the note on the We Love Bramhall community Facebook page.
The note reads: ‘A black/blue Tesla hit your from bumper 11:23AM. Hope this helps!’
He also included this caption: ‘Thanks to the person who wrote this note today in Bramhall Precinct Car Park.‘
