Nicole Kidman has signed up for even more work crowding her busy acting schedule.
It was announced on Wednesday that Lioness, the popular show about the CIA, will be back for a third season on Paramount+.
This thrilling new show comes from Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone, and features performances by Zoe Saldana and Morgan Freeman. It’s packed with action and sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
The character Kaitlyn Meade is a top-level officer at the CIA, specifically in Special Activities, where she leads the Lioness Engagement Team. She’s also experiencing difficulties in her marriage to her husband, Errol Meade, who is a businessman. The show began in 2023 and its second season aired in 2024.
This news follows quickly after reports that Nicole Kidman is separating from her husband of 19 years, country music star Keith Urban.
There have been reports suggesting that Nicole Kidman’s demanding work commitments contributed to her separation. Therefore, her decision to accept even more projects appears to indicate she prefers to remain actively working rather than taking time off to process her divorce.

Sources say Urban started the separation because he felt the relationship had become too focused on business and lacked emotional connection. He was reportedly unhappy with how business-like things had become, leading to his decision to end the relationship.
It was reported that the crooner felt with Kidman always gone and him touring, they grew apart.
Reports suggested that Kidman was completely surprised by Urban’s decision to end their marriage and that she had been trying to fix things between them. Kidman officially filed for divorce from Urban earlier this week.
The famous actress has officially filed for divorce not long after it was revealed that she and her husband – parents to daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 – had split up after 19 years of marriage, according to a report from Daily Mail on Tuesday.
Someone close to the situation previously told People magazine that Nicole didn’t want a divorce and that the actress – who was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001 – was still trying to work things out with her husband.
The source also shared then: ‘Nicole’s sister, Antonia, has been a huge support, and the whole Kidman family is united in helping each other through this.’
Nicole and Keith are getting divorced after spending the summer apart. The actress was filming Practical Magic 2 in London, and Keith was busy with his High and Alive World Tour.
Meanwhile, Nicole previously admitted that she missed her family while filming Expats in Hong Kong.

The celebrated actress filmed the TV mini-series in Asia while the COVID-19 pandemic was ongoing, and Nicole later shared that she found it difficult to cope with the limitations and being separated from her family.
Nicole – who has been married to Keith since 2006 – shared with Extra: ‘I was really missing my children and my husband.’
‘We loved Hong Kong, we were able to shoot really in the city, everything in there is authentic.
As a filmmaker, I really embraced the challenge of location shooting! I remember once, I’d happily climb seven flights of stairs just to get the perfect shot in this tiny apartment. It was a real hustle – even though the whole project was massive, it felt intimate, like we were making a small, independent film. And, of course, getting to film in Hong Kong was incredible – the city is just gorgeous, and it really added to the experience.
Before that, Nicole explained that the COVID-19 restrictions in Hong Kong and being separated from her husband and children negatively impacted how she performed.
As a longtime admirer, I was really struck by what she shared with the Guardian newspaper. She explained how being in Hong Kong, separated from my family, was a huge error in judgment. It wasn’t as simple as just booking a flight to be with them, and they faced the same difficulties getting to me. Honestly, it really impacted how I performed, and it went deeper than that – it truly affected my mental state. It was a very vulnerable thing for her to share, and I really appreciated her honesty about how much it all affected her.

Nicole Kidman has relied on her close friend since her teenage years, Australian actress Naomi Watts, who is 57 years old.
According to a source who spoke with Daily Mail, Nic has been in frequent contact with Naomi, helping her to figure out how to deal with what’s happening.
People have been offering lots of advice, and Nic is taking it because Naomi understands what he’s going through – she’s experienced very public breakups herself, first with Heath Ledger and then with Liev Schreiber. She knows firsthand how tough heartbreak can be when you’re in the public eye,” the insider explained.
Oh my gosh, Naomi is a genius! She told me – I mean, she’s said – that the best thing to do is just be completely honest with everyone. Seriously, just rip off the band-aid and get it all out there! She says it’s so fans can actually, you know, process everything and eventually move on. It’s brilliant, honestly! I’ve been following her for years and she *always* knows best.

This isn’t the first time the blonde has supported Kidman through a difficult breakup; she was there for the actress in 2001 when she split from Tom Cruise, offering a comforting presence during a painful time.
Kidman looks up to Watts, as the King Kong actress is happily married to Billy Crudup and doing very well in her personal life.
A friend mentioned that Nic hopes to have a relationship like Naomi and Billy’s someday – one filled with love and adoration,
Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts first encountered each other as teens, around the age of 15, while auditioning for a swimsuit commercial in Sydney, Australia during the 1980s.
They first connected while waiting for their audition and became friends. Their bond grew even stronger when they collaborated on the 1991 movie Flirting.
They have a deep connection, with Watts even referring to Kidman as ‘like the sister I never had.’
Kidman famously made sure to consult with Watts before accepting a role where her character had a relationship with Watts’ former partner, Schreiber, in the 2024 Netflix series The Perfect Couple.
The redheaded star has also been leaning on her 55-year-old sister Antonia Kidman.
