Michael Jackson’s son Bigi, 23 – formerly known as Blanket – surfaces in rare sighting in LA

This week, Michael Jackson’s son, Bigi, who was previously known as Blanket, was spotted in a wealthy area of Los Angeles.

Born through surrogacy in 2002, Bigi is the child Michael Jackson famously held over a fourth-floor hotel balcony in Berlin, displaying him to his fans gathered below.

In 2009, the King of Pop passed away at the age of 50. His death was caused by a cardiac arrest, which occurred after he was given the strong anesthetic Propofol to help him sleep.

Bigi, now an adult, was seen on Tuesday wearing simple clothes while getting a bite to eat in Calabasas, an upscale area famous as the home of the Kardashians.

He was spotted briefly at a Sweet Lady Jane bakery – the same chain that made Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s wedding cake – while driving his Tesla.

Dressed in an Avengers Endgame t-shirt and relaxed green shorts, the famous person perfectly embodied the laid-back California style.

This report follows just over a month after his older brother, Prince, happily revealed that he is getting married to his long-term partner, Molly Schirmang, whom he has been with for eight years.

Prince, who is 28 years old, began dating Molly in 2017. They’ve generally kept their relationship out of the public eye, but have occasionally appeared together on red carpets.

He announced on his Instagram page around the end of August that he and Molly are engaged and planning to get married.

In the caption, he shared: ‘8 years have passed [forever to go]. Molly and I have enjoyed a lot of time together and created wonderful memories.’

He shared a photo album featuring a picture of them at his college graduation, and wrote: ‘We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown so much together.

The collection of photos featured one of Molly and Prince alongside his grandmother – Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, who is 95 years old.

Prince finished his message by saying: ‘I’m really looking forward to what’s next for us as we keep growing together and creating wonderful memories. I love you, babs.’

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! Taryll Jackson – that’s Michael’s cousin, and the son of Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5 – actually commented on the post! He just wrote ‘Congrats!!!‘ and I nearly fainted! It’s just… amazing to see someone so connected to the family acknowledge it!

I was really surprised to learn back in July that Paris Jackson, Prince and Bigi’s sister, had broken up with her fiancé, Justin Long. They had gotten engaged just last December, so it seemed like things were going well! It’s always sad to hear about splits, but I wish them both the best. It just shows you never really know what’s happening behind closed doors.

Unlike many public figures, Bigi has intentionally maintained a private personal life. There have been no reports of him being in a romantic relationship, and he’s successfully kept that aspect of his life out of the public eye.

Michael had two children with his second wife, Debbie Rowe: Prince and his daughter, Paris, who is now 27. He met Debbie while she was working as an assistant to his dermatologist, Arnold Klein, during Michael’s treatment for vitiligo, a skin condition.

As a longtime follower of the story, I remember how ‘Arnie’ Klein, a well-known Hollywood doctor often called the ‘father of Botox,’ repeatedly suggested in public that Prince and Paris Jackson might actually be his biological children. It was something he alluded to on multiple occasions, and it always caused quite a stir!

In 2015, Prince addressed gossip on Twitter concerning who his father was, stating: ‘The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb … I was raised by my dad with my brother and sister.

In recent years, there’s been increased examination of Michael’s legacy due to ongoing accusations that he sexually abused children. These allegations have led to renewed debate about his life and work.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve observed that reputation can be a tricky thing. While Michael was legally cleared of the allegations back in 2005, those claims unfortunately haven’t disappeared. They continue to circulate in public conversation, and were notably revisited in the 2019 docuseries Leaving Neverland. It’s a reminder that legal outcomes and public perception aren’t always the same.
